And as the (kind of/placeholder) heir, it’s Johannes’ task to get his grandfather’s urn to the family graveyard.

Daniel Vasa has passed away.

Daniel was born to unknown parents and it’s pretty much a given that his last name - Johansson - was given to him by the orphanage he grew up in*.

He always looked for somewhere to belong, and when he met Elsa and was welcomed into her huge family well, it was like a dream come true. He and Elsa were very young as they met but they decided they wanted to live together pretty fast. Elsa, just having found out she was pregnant, was happily surprised when Daniel decided to propose to her!

He was a bit scared to become a father, but over the years he would raise a total of 6 children! It would however turn out that the oldest - Erik - was actually not his biologically, but he would always consider Erik like his own and treated him no differently.

Daniel changed career in the middle of his life and would eventually reach top of the musician career.

He died sorrounded by his family and will be missed by his wife Elsa, his children; Erik, Viktoria, Carl, Märtha, Monika and Martin, his grandchildren; Björn, Andreas, Mattias, Mikael, Susanne, Monica, Marie, Johanna, Malin, Linda, Johannes, Markus, Lukas and his five great-grandchildren.

*Johansson being the second most common last name in Sweden.

And after all those years of hard work, it’s Johannes graduation day!

Friends and family gather to celebrate! But it is hard not to feel the loss of Matteus. Johannes knows that without his brother’s support he might not have finished his studies. He is forever thankful for Matteus and Hanna, and their children, for allowing him this chance.

And by the end of the evening, when all have had the chance to celebrate Johannes, remember Matteus and spend a lot of time with each other - life does seem a little lighter.

It’s Harvest Fest!

Matteus and Hanna also decide to have their wedding today. Everyone is invited, there’s a festive meal ready and angry gnomes breaking the plumbing! Let the party begin!

Matteus: Hi li’l cousin! You wanna run around in this crazy big house? Susanne: Ofc! Daniel: Yeah, the little red house is a bit crammed right now...

Märtha: Susanne is being so sweet - right now she wants to copy me in everything and she’s a great help with the harvest and helps me look after her baby sister. But I think it’s healthy for her to come here too and get away from it sometimes.

Johannes: Grandpa! Look at me! I’m a child now, and I’m going to start school soon! Daniel: Hey buddy! You’re growing so fast!

First semester of Uni passes in a whirl! Both Carl and Viktoria joined the soccer team and with all te studying they both felt that... things had to change!

They decided to move off campus. Viktoria, who has hardly seen her boyfriend Mattias for the whole semester, talked to him about moving in together (bringing Carl). He seemed both excited and... a bit off about the whole idea. Viktoria tries not to give it too much thought - things will probably get better once they are living together, she decides.

(And I began usin Holy Colours Batman! by bepixeled, but for GIMP, to edit my pics with again. I realised my older way was too dark for seeing anything on the phone, sadly).
