So my human taxidermy guess was correct. Somewhat surprised that they waited to reveal it until the end. I was honestly expecting way more uncanny valley vibes from this episode, but it is very likely that I simply don’t find taxidermy creepy. I definitely think that this is related to the whole coffin situation from Do Not Open. And no I do not remember the names in that episode, just that once again minding your own business is a survival tactic. Cockney moving guys are back and still don’t have names, but they are becoming more and more important. I looked up Daniel Rawlings, he’s the guy from the very first episode. So I was wrong on which episode this one was connected to. Now knowing this, I hate the implications of it. That entity is using either corpses or taxidermied humans as a lure. MASSIVE ICK. Additionally, it is diabolical that they are now connecting stuff all the way from the beginning to now. I don’t have notes for those and don’t want to go back and make them. No sandwich date debrief but Jon is expanding his list of crimes. And Gertrude gave him nothing but confusion and a laptop charger. What a Queen.
Note: I was complaining to R about the implications of this being connected to the anglerfish. I described it as a corpse on a fishing pole. They cackled, so I figure one of you might get a laugh out of it as well.
