May I request some Bishop (Aliens) Headcanons about his interactions/relationships with the marines. His friendships with them are super underrated and I wish the movie showed more of that. He definitely had some sort of friendship with Hudson no one can tell me otherwise. Thank you and have a good day 🥺

Bishop Headcanons - His friendship with the Colonial Marines

A/N: Thanks for requesting this Anon!! I really wanted to write headcanons for Bishops relationship with the marines, but I'm even happier finding out someone wanted the same thing enough to request it. The Alien Franchise is so underrated in the fic writing and fandom side of things imo (or at least the older Alien films).

Pairings: None.

Characters: Lance Bishop, Al Apone, Cynthia Dietrich, Mark Drake, Colette Ferro, Ricco Frost, Scott Gorman, Dwayne Hicks, William Hudson, Daniel Spunkmeyer, Jeanette Vasquez

Bishop & Apone

✨Apone has a soft spot for Bishop, even if it isn't really seen that often.

✨He respects Bishop's intelligence and dedication to protecting the unit, even if it's because he's programmed to do so.

✨ They’ve played chess together on a couple occasions when Apone was bored, and even though Bishop wins nearly every time, they still take pleasure in playing the game together.

Bishop & Dietrich

✨Dietrich and Bishop had first met because both spend a decent amount of time working for the corps in a medical and scientific capacity.

✨Though she isn't as close with Bishop as other members of the team, she likes how gentle he always is with anyone who's injured.

✨ Mostly converses with her about family back home and how excited she is to see her daughter next time she gets leave.

Bishop & Drake

✨ Bishop and Drake are probably the least acquainted with each other and spend the least amount of time talking.

✨ Drake does have a healthy respect for Bishop though, because he’s helped him out in the infirmary on more then one occasion with a nasty injury.

Bishop & Ferro

✨ Ferro took quite a liking to Bishop when she first met him. Mostly because he reminded her of her younger brother back home who worked as a computer programmer.

✨ She offered to give Bishop a few lessons on flying and maneuvering in a drop shop, as Ferro is the most experienced flyer out of the whole corps.

Bishop & Frost

✨ Bishop and Frost often have long conversations with each other on a range of topics.

✨ Frost finds it fascinating that Bishop is an Android as he hadn’t ever met one until becoming apart of the Colonial Marines.

✨ Likes learning new things from Bishop about what it is to be an Android teaching him in return about his own background and cultural practices his family has passed down.

✨ Loves discussing where he wants to travel on leave, and has asked Bishop to join him on a trip during shore leave after their on LV-426.

Bishop & Gorman

✨ Gorman hasn’t really spent much time with Bishop, apart from when they first met in Aliens.

✨ Generally Gorman doesn’t have an opinion of Bishop one way or the other, he’s just happy that he gets his job done.

Bishop & Hicks

✨ Hicks thinks Bishop is a lot more than just another Android. He treats Bishop almost like a brother, especially after the events of Aliens (1986).

✨ He helped him get back on his feet after the events of Aliens, when he lost his lower half.

✨ Hicks even fashioned a couple of canes to help with Bishop’s mobility issues.

✨ Take Bishop with him on fishing trips back on earth, and birdwatching ventures.

Bishop & Hudson

✨ Often jokes around with Bishop, much like he jokes with everyone.

✨ Have a very sarcastic and snarky relationship where they go back and forth making jokes at each other’s expense.

✨ Weirdly Hudson is the most okay with Bishop being an Arificial Human.

✨ Bluntly asked one time if Bishop had a dick, making the rest of the team groan or facepalm.

✨ Once he found out how good Bishop was with a knife, he’d egg him on to do the knife trick with people at parties and to show new recruits.

Bishop & Spunkmeyer

✨ Is a little creeped out by Bishop because of how close to human he can come sometimes.

✨ Has referred to him as the T1000 on occasion because of his uncanny valley mannerism and way of socializing.

✨ Can be a bit ignorant about Bishop’s status as an Android, but will defend him if anyone picks a fight or is discriminatory towards him.

Bishop & Vasquez

✨ Has a healthy respect for how good Bishop is with a knife and has definitely had a knife throwing competition with him. Loser has to take a shot every time they miss their target.

✨ Doesn’t understand why Bishop has an adversity towards guns and keeps trying to encourage him to let her teach him how to shoot.
