Just a long ranting pondering about Crave the Villain…

Who do you guys think CtV will be about?

As of now Rina has been marketing the Villain Series as a Legacy of Gods spinoff series. So it stands to reason that at least one of the mcs will be a son from a previous couple like Gareth is Asher/Reina’s kid and Vaughn is Kirill/Sasha’s kid. I know there are some people who think the book will be about Jethro because he was seen watching the serpents, but neither Jethro or any serpent have had parents from a previous book. It wouldn’t make sense for Rina to have her 3rd book in a series be about characters that don’t fit with the mcs from the other books.

I would love if it could be about Remi since he is the only Male character of the 2nd gen we know of that hasn’t gotten a book. But it’s pretty much fandom accepted that he’s with Ariella. I can just picture the amount of hate she’d get for not only putting Remi canonically with Ariella, but making Remi queer. I still remember how much hate she got for giving Vaughn an MM series, so just imagine if it ends up being Remi. I’d love it to be Remi because I loved Remi, but I’ve accepted it’s most likely not going to happen.

Some other characters we know of that would/could fit being in the 2nd gen are Jayden Adler, Mike Ivanov, Conrad Sterling, or Logan Weaver.

Or it could be a son of a previous couple that wasn’t born by the time of their parents’ book. Like Nicole/Daniel’s 2nd kid, Naomi/Sebastian’s kid, or Aspen/Kingsley’s kid.

My thought is that if the mc is a new character, their parents are a couple from a previous book may be a side couple who never got their own book so which will explain why they were never introduced in the LoG series

Maybe it could be a son of Yuri/Anton & Maksim or Kristina & Konstantin. Vaughn is a small side character in the and doesn’t come to the island and goes to a college in New York. I can’t imagine he doesn’t have any sort of friends or people he’s close to. And if the mc of CtV is friends with Vaughn but not any of the other Heathens, and Vaughn and the mc are friends through their parents but not with the other Heathens’s parents it would help explain why they haven’t been mentioned in the LoG series.

Maybe I’m not putting my words in a clear manner, but I think it would help her introduce a new character that’s part of the second gen.

My other theory comes with the large gap that’s between Tempting Venom’s release and CtV’s release. From KtV to Beautiful Venom, to KtV trad publish to Sweet Venom to HtV to Tempting Venom’s releases there’s only been a handful of months in between. But then all of a sudden there’s an almost year long gap between TV and CtV releases? It doesn’t make sense.

So my theory is we’re gonna get another book in between and the couple from the book’s son is going to be an mc for CtV. The couple would be a side couple from a prev book that people really wanted to see. My hope that if we do it’ll be maybe Damien and Mio or Akria and Ren or Yuri/Anton and Maksim. And if she does one of these couples, especially Damien and Mio, it’s a duet. It’s been a while since she’s done one since she’s just been doing one book per couple lately.

Those are just my thoughts. I know it’s a long post so thank you if you read the whole thing. Just curious to see what others think.

His name is Daniel Sterling, and he is a factory owner both here in London and in America. He uses cheap, almost slave labor in his factories to push his products through. Most of these are purposely designed to fail.

Ah yes; the name sounds quite familiar to me.

And has he ever done anything of a nefarious nature to you domestically? Or is it simply his business endeavors which cause you exceptional grief?

This Week in the News, YUK!

This week a hole was discovered shiny veneer of American equality.  Donald Sterling, the owner of the Los Angeles Lakers was finally punished after his latest racist rant was luckily caught on tape and hit the media like a tsunami.  Now all the good people of the world can rejoice that justice was done, but we still have a very big problem.

       On the morning of April 27th, I turned on my radio to listen to NPR.  The story was on all the media outlets, and had been for over the last 24 hours.  My interest in it was not that keen until I heard someone say that Mr. Sterling had a long and deep history of abusive discrimination against women also, both employees and clients.  The gentleman being interviewed said that he worked for Sports Illustrated magazine and had reported this story on several occasions through the years, but it just never got very much traction.  A quick search on the internet turned up another person’s observation of willful ignorance on the art of the AP and ESPN regarding Mr. Sterling’s abuses.  I found the story on a blog called “POPSpot: Power, Oppression & Privilege in Sport”, written by Chuck Modiano on 3/15/2012.    It wasn’t easy to find and unfortunately, it seemed to stand alone in a virtual desert abandoned by whistle-blowers. 

       We all must realize that Institutionalized Sexism is as much of a blight on our society as racism is.  They are both shameful abuses of power.  We would never tolerate such heinous acts perpetrated upon any male group.  It would be considered a hate crime. So we need men, especially men of color, to join us in our fight to end that evil.  Sexism doesn’t just affect the 51% of the population that happens to be female.  It also exponentially impacts the men in the lives of the women who are being abused, and thereby, society as a whole.   Every time a woman is denied a raise or not hired simply because she is female, this affects all the sons being raised by that woman, and often her other male relatives as well.  Let’s follow one theoretical family of sons who have become sexism’s victims. 

       Mom is first injured by the court system through the no-fault divorce laws that came about in the late 1970’s.  Even though her husband beat her and cheated on her, he bears no responsibility, financial or otherwise to her or his sons. If he doesn’t visit the children pay the court ordered child support, he is not arrested.  They are immediately thrust into poverty, especially if she took some time off from her job to care for the babies.  Institutionalized sexism then pushes this woman into the “Pink Ghetto” of low wage jobs.    Add to that the well-known fact that Mama makes only .77 cents for every dollar that her male co-worker makes, and that family of sons is no longer stimulating the economy or getting a good education because they don’t live in the “good” neighborhood.  Thus starts a speeding downward cycle of poverty and all the ills that come with it.  Sexism seems to be the last “ism” still tolerated, making women “Last Class” citizens and creating communities of poverty instead of communities of wealth.
