God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed, nor will it be left to another people. It will crush all those kingdoms and bring them to an end, but it will itself endure forever. This is the meaning of the vision of the rock cut out of a mountain, but not by human hands.

Daniel, meaning “God is my Judge”, is one of the four Great Prophets in the Old Testament and the writer of the book of scripture that bears his name, the Book of Daniel. He is from the royal family of David and known for his wisdom, intelligence, faithfulness to God and interpreting dreams.  Daniel was taken into captivity by King Nebuchadnezzar to serve in his court and his successors. After Daniel interpreted the King's dream correctly he became a government official. His wisdom saved Suzanna from corrupt Jewish elders, and his adherence to God’s law sent him to the lion's den where he was miraculously unhurt. Daniel was killed by Haman a wicked prime minister of Ahasuerus. Daniel’s life is a synopsis of the Jewish Babylonian Captivity. {website}
