3: Their greatest achievement (I’m going by the start of the Adulthood Storyline for this one. So everything listed here will have happened during the 12 years of the war when most of these characters were growing up in Foxhurst.)

I can’t tell you Simon’s greatest achievement because it’s the biggest spoiler to ever spoiler a spoiler. I’ll just say it happened about two years before the Adulthood storyline started so you’re probably not gonna see it for a while. But his second greatest is all the little moments where he helps his friends just by being himself. The thing that’s going on in the comic right now, where he’s about to become friends with Henry just by being a goober who’s good at making up stories, is a good example of this.

Kaden’s greatest achievement is a song he wrote called “Alchemy”. He doesn’t know it yet but it’s the reason why he and his band are gonna hit it big one day.

Henry believes his greatest achievement is the time Simon got a nasty concussion and he was the one who recognized the symptoms from a book he’d read a while before and got him help. They were 14 when this happened.

Marcus’s first day as a police officer, he helped a little girl find her lost cat. That’s what HE thinks his greatest achievement is. Ask anyone else and they’ll tell you something very different. Let’s just say, you’ll find out something important about him pretty quickly in Chapter 2. And from there you can probably infer some great achievements of his past.

Daniel says his greatest achievement was the day he enlisted to the Inestrian Military, but he’d been planning to do that for years. Working hard at it, sticking through the hard training, and finding a place where he finally felt he fit in, that’s a better achievement.

Amy’s greatest achievement is a little hard to explain at this point. But let’s just say, Amy’s family has a special tradition of passing on some pretty important knowledge. No matter what job you decide to go into, or what life you decide to lead, you have to learn this special stuff while you’re growing up if you’re in that family. The day Amy finished her lessons and her whole family threw a big party for her, is what she considers her greatest achievement.

Lastly, Cassandra. Let’s just say. She saved the life of someone else on this list.

OKAY AND NOW FOR THE OTHER ANSWERS

1: Simon’s Voice

Energetic. Bouncing. Not overly loud, but he makes himself heard. Has a mostly Northern Californian Cities type accent because that’s how his parents taught him to talk, but grew up in a rural town from 9 to 19, so he picked up on their accent a bit too and an occasional “Y’all” might slip out.

4: Simon’s insecurities

There’s a side of him that’s a habitual liar. He’s very good at it, and has been his whole life, but he always worries that he’ll subconsciously lie at an inappropriate time. He also makes bad jokes (usually puns) to cover up when he’s sad, which is more often than he shows. And he feels like he’s always making it up as he goes along in his life and especially in his job and that other people aren’t and always know exactly how to be a good productive adult and if anyone ever found out it would have serious consequences.

7: how they like to dress

Growing up, Daniel always felt like he was in the shadow of his older brothers as well as almost his entire family on his mother’s side, who were well known in the small town of Foxhurst where he grew up. As a result, he pretty much was always one to just blend in. He doesn’t have a particularly significant clothing style in his youth, just whatever fits, is practical, and not too flashy. He doesn’t even like shirts with band names or comic book characters on them, preferring solid, nondescript colors.

But as a young adult - (Spoilers for Chapter 3) - he joined the Inestrian Military. He feels comfortable and, for the first time, as himself, when he wears the uniform. It’s a part of his family’s history and he knows it suits him.

8: what they like to eat

Like with his clothing style, he’s not picky about what he eats. If you put it in front of him, he’ll eat it without complaint even if everyone else at the table does. The only caveat to this is when his birthday comes around. His grandmother would never take no for an answer in regards to making him a special birthday dinner, so as a result it’s a the one day where he feels it’s okay to be more outspoken. On that day, he always asks for Pineapple Chicken.

14: how they react to burning their tongue on food

Like I said, he won’t outwardly complain with words. But if you look at him, you’ll see him gripping his chair tightly, his face turning a dark red, and he’ll be shaking dramatically. Simon is usually the first to notice this when they’re together at the dinner table, and he just silently pushes Daniel’s drink closer to him (after he’s rolled his eyes a bit).

16: their dreams

I mentioned before that his mother’s side of the family is well known. They have a long history of being important, historic members in the Inestrian Military. Daniel, being the youngest when they moved to Foxhurst, was the most impressionable to the stories their grandfather told them of all those ancestors who fought for the country. They became Daniel’s heroes and he wanted to be included in this history. He enlisted on his 18th birthday.

But (more spoilers) the war ended the same day he finished Basic Training, so his story is going to be quite different.

19: their reaction to betrayal

No words. A red haze covers his eyesight. A low droning sound covers anything else the betrayer might be trying to say. He stares off into space, mentally coming to the conclusion that he never wants to see you again. And this kid can hold a damn grudge.
