Before Rayne moved to Britechester to start his university life, another birthday was due... It was time for Jade to age up to an elder. They decided to throw a birthday party and a goodbye party at the same time, inviting friends and family to Jade's little shack.

Damian and Briella brought their twin daughters to Sulani for the first time and Jade was delighted to finally meet her nieces Lorraine and Holly. It didn't take long before Rayne started telling island stories to his cousins, who were listening in awe.

When everyone gathered around the birthday cake, Jade took a few seconds to reminisce about her time on the Sulani islands and the wonderful around her. She dreaded becoming an elder a bit, but she was grateful for everything she had already experienced and everyone in her life.

She'd have to get used to her grey locs and the wrinkles in her face...

Kanaloa (waving to her with a seductive look in his eyes): "Hey there, Beautiful!"

Jade (quite self-concious): "Kana, I... I look so old and grey..."

Kanaloa (smiling lovingly): "Jade, you look as stunning as ever. I can't wait until everyone has left this party and I get some private time with the most beautiful and wise woman in Sulani." (winking at her) "And yes, I'm talking about you."

Jade felt her cheeks become red hot and flustered she leaped into his arms for a tight, slightly thirsty hug. "You're the worst," she whispered in his ear. "I love you too," Kanaloa answered under his breath.

Jade had completely lost track of time (she had taken a longer maternity leave from work to take care of Rayne) and suddenly, it was time for her birthday. 

Damian had organised a little get together for his loner sister, knowing she wouldn’t think of doing that herself. Daniela was the first to arrive, as she wanted to spend some time with her bestie before the party and help her prepare.

Daniela also brought Jade a little gift. “Look Jade, he’s green! And you love green!”.

Surrounded by her brother and sister-in-law and her friends and coworkers, Jade blew out the candles and aged up into an adult. The party was a simple one: cake, kava (Jade had learned how to make it from Soraya), a bonfire and good company. 

But not only was this Jades birthday, it was also the first time Rayne met his uncle and auntie and his mother’s friends. Jade had dreaded this moment a bit, fearing he would be scared of all these new sims. What if he’d throw one of his fits or start to make a mess somewhere? But to her pleasant surprise, Rayne was fascinated by everyone and hit it off with his uncle Damian right away. He babbled a bit or observed the sims around him. He happily sat on his pouf at the bonfire, not once trying to get off the pouf and approach the hot flames or do some other mischief.

For the first time in weeks, Jade felt relaxed and even happy. She could catch up with her brother and friends and listened to their stories and advice.

In the evening, it started to rain and this was a cue for everyone to slowly make an end to the party. Rayne did not protest at all when his mother lifted him in her arms and whispered: “Let’s get you to bed now, my beautiful big boy.”

Damian called the wedding guests to the bar for a toast with some fine nectar. Taku Akiyama, who was in their homework club when they were kids, walked over to Jade.

Taku (nodding with approval): “My my, Jade Dreamer, long time no see... But what a delightful sight to behold...”

Jade (not used to blatant flirting): “Oh, thank you, Taku. Eh, interesting thing you’ve done with your hair...”

Billie (not looking at Taku): “Move along, Peachy Pants, the lady is out of your league...”

Damian just gave Taku a warning look: “What Billie said!”

Despite missing the point, Jade felt some tension building up and excused herself to make her way to her bestie Daniela sitting at the other side of the bar. 

Jade (excited): “Daniela, it’s so good to see you!”

Daniela (equally excited): “Yeah, video calls are fun, but nothing beats being actually in the same space together. You’re looking gorgeous! I’m sure someone has noticed that by the way... Good thing my husband isn’t here, I think I’d have to worry!”

Jade (blushing): “Oh silly you, don’t say that. Ratu is the luckiest man to have you as his wife. By the way, I haven’t forgiven you yet for eloping. I missed your big day!”

Daniela (smiling): “I’m sorry, girl... It was a heat of the moment thing and we didn’t think it through... But you’re right, he is lucky to have me and I am truly happy to be married to him. Oh Jade, I do miss chatting with you though!”

The young women continued to chat and laugh together until Daniela convinced Jade to move over to the dance floor.

Immediately after her graduation, Jade traveled on to San Myshuno, for Damian and Briella’s big day. Despite Damian’s vast number of social media followers and his growing fame, the couple had opted for a simple ceremony with just a few friends. Their famous name still opened doors though: as the son of Heather Jones and Dirk Dreamer, Damian was able to have his wedding at the Treetop Oasis. 

The young couple couldn’t keep their eyes off each other during the wedding ceremony. Only for a moment, while Damian put the wedding ring on her finger, Briella seemed to not quite believe it was really happening. But is really was happening and when Damian softly pulled her into his arms to kiss her, Briella rejoiced in the knowledge that they would hold onto each other for the rest of their life. 

After the ceremony, Jade couldn’t wait to hug her little brother. “I..I’m so so so happy for you, Lil’ Bro...” she said, feeling overwhelmed with emotion herself. then she hugged her sister-in-law, whispering: “Welcome to our little family, Briella. I wish you both the best and I know you two will be happy forever.” While she was speaking the words, she suddenly felt a familiar gaze on her and a tingling traveled up her spine.

Damian celebrated his birthday with a party at the Warehouse 31 nightclub in Del Sol Valley. He had invited his friends to dance the night away with him and dance they did (even Jade, for a short while at least). Of course, Damian would regularly interrupt his dancing moves to pull his girlfriend close for a long kiss. 

At some point the guests started to gather around the dj’s turntables on the stage. Damian moved closer to Sora while dancing and poked his best friend in the ribs with his elbow.

Damian (trying to be heard over the dancing music): “Hey man, you having fun?”

Sora (also trying to be heard over the loud music): “Sure I am, great nightclub! Shame I have to get up early...”

Damian: “Speaking of that... You know you have to tell my sister, right?”

Sora (nodding): “Yup... Thought the cake moment would be a good time...”

Damian: “In that case: bring on the cake!”

Damian’s friends gathered around the bar where Jade had placed the birthday cake she had made for her brother. Damian had nodded to her with appreciation and placed the birthday candles. Cheered on by his friends and random night club sims, he blew out the candles and aged up into a young adult.

When New Year’s Eve came, the Dreamer siblings weren’t ready for festivities yet. The loss of their parents was still too recent. But they also didn’t want to do absolutely nothing. So they invited their closest friends, Sora, Daniela and Briella to spend New Year’s Eve together. Before the arrival of their friends, Jade made a resolution to work on her skills, as that would certainly help her with her grades. Damian felt he wanted to progress in his aspiration and move forward without his parents. 

It was a chill evening, the group watched some New Year’s Eve tv together and counted down to midnight. When midnight arrived Daniela walked over to Jade with open arms.

Daniela: “Jade, we both lost our parents last year and it’s been real tough. But I promise you, we’ll make this new year a great one! Give me a hug, Bestie!”

Jade (hugging her best friend): “That’s the best resolution possible, Daniela. Thank you for putting up with me...”

Daniela (whispering): “Now let me go and go hug that handsome fella for way too long, he’s also a young adult now...”

Daniela gave Jade a cheeky wink when she pulled out of the hug and then pushed Jade Sora’s direction. Jade barely had the time to take a deep breath before she stood before Sora and awkwardly opened her arms to give him a hug. Their eyes met for a moment before they actually hugged and Jade felt her heart racing when Sora put his arms around her. She wanted this hug to last forever, but at the same time, she got so stressed and flustered that she felt out of breath and panicked. She quickly pulled out of the hug, avoiding his gaze and giggling awkwardly, she exclaimed “Happy New Year! Do you want a drink?” “Sure, I could use a drink,” Sora responded, smiling a confused smile.

One Saturday, Jade and Daniela wanted to go to the Magnolia Blossom Park in Willow Creek. Heather and Dirk allowed Jade to go, but on the condition to take Damian along. Being great friends with her little brother, Jade didn’t mind having him around with them and Daniela just found him adorable (Damian did NOT like her to say that though).

Even though fall had started, it was a pretty warm day and the threesome decided it was the perfect moment to play in the fountain. The had the best fun jumping up and down in the water and splashing each other. Inspired by their water shenanigans, Jade also played a sea monster for Damian.
