1964's DANIEL BOONE TV SERIES - AUGUST 27, 2025 - PHOTOS AND YOU TUBE VIDEO CLIP.
"Daniel Boone" ran on NBC from 1964 through 1970; starred Fess Parker as Daniel Boone, and for four seasons, also co-starred singer/actor Ed Ames, as Mingo.
Ed Ames teaches Johnny Carson how to throw a tomahawk in one of the funniest moments on Johnny Carson's Tonight Show. Classic blooper moment on the Tonight Show.
LEONARD NIMOY - GUEST STAR IN 'DANIEL BOONE; S2, E17, 'SEMINOLE TERRITORY.'
During the 50's and 60's, TV Westerns were the most popular TV series on TV. I loved quite a few of them, including 'Wagon Train,' (which Leonard Nimoy guest starred in on four episodes); and Daniel Boone, starring Fess Parker (Daniel Boone) and Ed Ames (Mingo).
Leonard Nimoy guest starred in 'Seminole Territory,' on Daniel Boone, on January 13, 1966. Leonard portrayed a Seminole warrior, Oontah, that Boone and Mingo when they go exploring Florida.
(NOTE: Ed Ames parents immigrated to the United States from Ukraine, and Ed Ames was born in 1927. Leonard Nimoy's parents ALSO immigrated from Ukraine to the United States, and Leonard Nimoy was born in 1931.)
