Neon Girl.
In this video I open up about the struggles that lead to where I am now.
Hey guys I made this film for a 48 hour film competition.

Breaking news, I've been hired to co-direct a feature film. This is not a drill. It's happening.
What’s going on
It’s been a while since I’ve blogged so here’s a list of a few things that have happened in my life recently...
I filmed a feature film titled “Moving Parts”. My position was Director of Photography.
Immediately after I landed another job as DP on a television pilot for a show titled “Pimps, Pastors, & Politicians”. It’s currently under consideration for the Sundance Film Festival.
I now have an IMDB.com page.
Oh, and I also have spent the past couple months vigorously editing the pilot.
Meanwhile I’m still writing the script to my feature film. It’s coming along nicely.
Somewhere along the way I stopped making YouTube videos. Primarily because I began getting paid to shoot other peoples movies.
I’m currently looking for a place in Atlanta, Georgia. It turns out the Michigan film industry is pretty non-existent. Moving on.
Cheers,
Dan
Quickie Film Update
I have a title, finally.
That’s a wrap on Day 1 of the feature film titled Moving Parts. (That’s me behind the camera). Like many indie films we got off to a rocky start, but soon enough we found our grove and set a positive tone for what’s to come in the following months. I can already tell this is going to be a huge learning experience, one I very much welcome as I prepare for my directorial debut next summer.
Meanwhile my feature film script is coming along nicely. I’m starting to grasp a much deeper meaning to my film, an essence that’s subtly been creeping from my subconscious onto the page. If I can pull it off, this film should have a profound resonance with this generation, and generations to come.
Cheers,
Dan
Film Update
Last time we talked I was deep in the outlining process of my feature film script. Today not much has changed, yet much has changed. My story has come quite a long way in the past month, the characters are becoming more life-like, and the plot has thickened (literally).
Beyond that I’ve just brought on an Associate Producer to help with pre-production work, so that’s a thing.
In other film related news I just landed a job as the Director of Photography for an indie feature film. Containing my excitement, this is HUGE. With a lot of work, and a little luck, this could be the big break I’ve been praying for.
Buckle your seat belts, it’s gunna be a ride fer sure.
