Daniel and John: Part One

Daniel leaned against the window, sighing. His breath left small puffs of condensation on the glass, obscuring the snow covered street outside. Bored of an still, plain white landscape, Daniel flopped down onto his black bed. Picking up his phone, Daniel dialed the first number on speed dial. On the other end of the line, a voice picked up. "Hello?" 

Hey! You do realize how late it is? I swear if you make me late again, I will kill you." Daniel hung up, not waiting for a response. Sitting up he slung his messenger bag over one shoulder. Daniel glanced outside to the still empty street, and ground his teeth. Clenching his fist he slammed it down upon the soft bed. "Where is that asshat? I'm gonna kill 'im when he get's here." By his side, the phone vibrated, screening a call from "#1 Asshat" Daniel sighed, and picked up. "What?" 

A sigh echoed through the phone. "You do realize school has been canceled, correct?" the caller asked. 

"Wait, seriously?" Daniel straightened up upon hearing this, hopeful. 

"Yeah! You seen the snow outside? Anyways, I'd have called sooner but I assumed you knew and were taking it easy. Sorry."

"it's okay man, I don't mind. But you should come over then. We could hang out and stuff." 

"Alright then, on my way." The caller ended the call, and Daniel smiled slightly.
