My book WAITING FOR WOLF was very guided by my love for Daniel Johnston’s song SOMETHINGS LAST A LONG TIME. The lyrics are inscribed on the title page and dedicated to my brother Sebastian who lived with me through the loss of our mother who died of a brain tumour when we were young teenagers. ‘The red is strong, the blue is pure’... Daniel himself sadly passed away two days after my book came out last September 2019 and I never got to send him a copy. He was an awesome illustrator as well as beautiful musician. You should listen to his sweet music when you have a moment. I think it is unparalleled and will be with me for the rest of my life.
