Chloe: You excited Hedy? Everyone is saying that it's going to come down to You and Thursday. Dani: I heard Krause talking to Valerian today too. Sounds like the people upstairs have been keeping an eye on him. Hedy: Really? Interesting.

Khalid: He's says he's been working on something big that's going to give him an edge in the fight Friday. Hedy: You know what I actually have to go do something. Chloe: Don't do anything stupid. Hedy: I don't do stupid Chloe.

Scarlett: Valerian, don't you realize that any of us could be next? Val: And that sounds like a you problem! Scar: What? Are you serious?

Val: Look, I'm not supposed to be here. With Solara gone, I just have to worry about beating Thursday and Hedy, in the next fight. HANSEL says I have a 65% of winning with the current odds. That's not good enough. I need to focus. I don't have time for your righteous crusade.

Scarlett: But... Don't you have anyone you care about Valerian?

Valerian: No. Not anymore.

Dani: Wow, that's so sad. Still not cool Valerian.

Agent: Tuesday Goth, I'm afraid you'll have to come with us. Tuesday: Don't touch me you scum.

Valerian: It's a shame no one will miss you Tuesday. Tuesday: I'LL KILL YOU.

Valerian: Unlikely.

Val: Where are you taking her? Man: Upstairs for reconditioning. I suggest you forget what you've seen here. Val: And what about my chicken nuggets?

Luckily by breakfast the chicken nuggies lunchlad had been replaced. Makes me wonder about the kind of contract they have to sign to work down here.

Thursday: Scarlett have you seen Tuesday? Scarlett: I'm afraid not, but I think something bad may be coming. Dani: What else is new.

The week leading up to Valerian's first promotional fight went by quickly. He knew he didn't stand much of a chance against the other opponents here, but it might give him the chance to size up the competition. Or at least look for weak points.

Some of the others were easy enough to pin down. Solara's ego, Test's unpredictable behavior. Khalid always pulled his punches. Dani simply didn't care enough. While Hedy cared too much.

HANSEL: Do not interrupt me. Shall we start with The Twins? Tuesday and Thursday Goth. They're a powerful team, I suggest you use caution around them. I'm told they have a nasty bite.

HANSEL: Khalid Al Farsi. He has quite an affinity for plant life, but is stuck halfway between plant and sim.

HANSEL: Hedy Joy. A Legacy Spare with an incredible drive for success. Do not cross her.

HANSEL: Chloe Brighton came to us after contracting lighting powers during a dangerous storm in Moonwood Mill. Shocking Stuff.

Val: So she's a werewolf?

HANSEL: Fortunately no. Could you imagine a werewolf running around here? Woof.

HANSEL: Solara Star, Star Pupil. We picked her up in Strangerville after detecting a tear in the legacy continuum. She's strong, and closer to promotion than anyone else here.

Val: What do you mean promotion?

HANSEL: Please hold all questions until the end of the presentation.

HANSEL: Danika Ludwig, Dani, to her friends if she wanted any. Quiet girl, prefers to be alone. Has the particular quirk of generating an anti-hue field.

Val: How is that helpful to anyone?

HANSEL: Ok, now you're just trying to interrupt me.

Khalid: He's pretty rough around the edges isn't he? Solara: He's Weak, and cries a lot in his room. Chloe: He doesn't seem to have anything special about him right? He's kinda just a dude ya know? Solara: I don't see him being an obstacle during the promotion fight. Dani: Well I think he's cute. Chloe: Dani, ew Dani: What?

Chloe: Anyway, everyone knows Sol is the favorite for getting promoted out. Solara: Factually Correct, I am stronger than anyone here. Khalid: Gonna miss you Sol. Solara: And that sentiment is what makes you weak Khalid. But I will try to miss you as well. Chloe: Woof.

Tuesday: The others are correct, the new one is weak. Thursday: While you are correct sister, you also know it is never smart to underestimate an opponent. Tuesday: I'll think about smart once we've escaped this god forsaken place.
