Experimentation is Key for Success (Day 3).

Tw: Torture, Syringe

“Lie still, Subject Three-One-Six!” A Keeper screeched loudly in my ear, “resisting will only make things worse! Tell us the information that you know about the Ink Demon” “NEVER! I’ll never tell you! Telling you would be betraying my inky lord!” I screamed back. A jolt of electricity flowed through my body as they tased me with wires until I spoke. It felt as if my body were being set aflame from the inside and out. “AAAHHH!!!” I screamed, convulsing in pain. “Now, let us try again. Tell us where the demon is.” The Keeper hissed at me, readying the wire in case I refused to answer again.

I spat in the Keepers face as I said, “I’ll never tell you. You’d have to kill me first before you could get any answers from me.” Then the electricity coursed through my veins like clockwork and the screams haunted the hallways of the lab. This process seemed to go on for hours until Wilson showed his face.

“My, my… what have we here? A little defiant demon follower not giving us the precious information that we need, how cute,” Wilson said, breathing heavily every few words. “Why don’t you be a dear and tell us the intel?”

“HA! Why should I tell?” I yanked on the restraints to try to get closer to bite Wilson.

“Now, now, my dear,” he began, “I wouldn’t do that if I were you.” Wilson shuffled over to a workbench, pulling out a syringe and a container filled with a mysterious liquid. He then turned to walk back to me, making sure the syringe was in my line of sight. “Now, my dear, we are going to do this again. Answer our questions and you can go back to your cell. Refuse to do so, and I’ll have to make you comply!”

“What the hell is that?!?!” I cried out, a slight panic growing in my chest.

“I guess you’ll just have to wait and see,” Wilson wheezed as he let out a small laugh before a coughing fit took over.

The clock slowly ticked by as I was interrogated ruthlessly, electrocuted, and stabbed with the syringe with only hell knew what was in it. But eventually with time, like everything, it came to an end and I was thrown back into my cell. Sealed inside of a darkness that I have grown to only know in this vicious world of ink and blood. Then in the distance I heard the panicked cries Sammy made when he was dragged out of his cell.

“Great… they’re going to interrogate him now,” I said, before collapsing on the floor of my cell from exhaustion from the pain. “Maybe… just maybe tomorrow will be better.” I said with a sigh, now closing my eyes.
