Quick & Short Update

Yo, Dj here. 

I want to tell you guys that the quest system is a work in progress so far. It’s looking good and I’m testing many things. The quest system is not done yet, but it’s kinda working anyway and I’m going to make some “easy” quests, so you guys can have fun while running around and do some derp quests. ;D

Derp derp- Right where was I? Oh yes, back to the project. 

You can also now use your in-game money to buy and sell stuff. You get your money from chests, monsters and other sources. Some junk-items might be useless to have in the inventory, but great to sell! Some others items might be important to some quests... You can still sell these, but you would lose the chance to get the quest done and get even more money. ;D

The next update will contains gifs (and a video, if I can get my goddamm video recorder to work... >:T).

First gif is the inventory system:

It’s working well! Current the money system is bugged, so I just disabled it and used a single money system which is Ausum. (the previous money system had three kinds of money.) (gif is bugged... Just check twitter. ;W;9 )

Second gif is the chest system:

The chests are now well functional in game and it even have an animation to open and close! Chest system is working pretty well with the inventory system, so any things you got from chests; you got it in your inventory!

Third gif is the NPC/dialogue system:

you can now talk to NPCs and later in the project you will be able to trade money with them to items or stuff.

The third update - Major update

Yo, DJ here.

If you have followed me in last few weeks, you’ll noticed that I released updates every weekends and in last two weekends, I didn’t released any updates.

There were actually a good reason. TWO if I have to pull family life into this.

First one is simple, I had too little time on hand. I had lots of exams and I had to read up on these exams which I stand between two choice at that time. To read the exams and lose time to write the updates or write updates and lose time to exams. Naturally I took my exams as first priority since I need to passed them all in order to be a “real” programmer. So I took the exams and passed them all without fail.

But second one was about my family. Something happens, so I took my time off and went to my family, so I hadn’t time to make update.

So I hope this matter is understandable! :)

This update is little special since this is released on a thursday.

Since tumblr is a bags of D!”#s that I can’t post lots of gifs in one post, I recommend to check the next post that contains gifs of the updates. >:T

Second Update

Yo. DJ here. 

The update picture from last time was about a picture of a bag. Now what does that bag contain? Coins! I have been working on a economy system. I’ll tell short about this, but as how you’ll get these coins... well... I think this is “tys-tys” for now. 

The economy system have at least four different kinds of values. 

From lowest value to highest value: Copper coin, Silver coin, Gold coin and Priceless item!

Copper is the lowest coins as a player can get. 100 Copper coins = 1 Silver coin.

Silver is the common coins that is used mostly of traders ingame, since it’s used for selling and buying items. 100 Silver coins = 1 Gold coin.

Gold is for the rich folks. Only these folks can buy stuff that common folks cannot buy. This is also the hardest coins to get ingame. 100 gold =  ∞ gold. (Please don’t say that you were thinking that 100 gold means unlimited wealth? <_<;; ) 

Priceless is a unique tag to certain items. You can sell the items for gold, but why should you sell them, when they are in fact so much more worth to a player than a npc trader?! In fact, these item may or may not have a special role for some quests in the game. I highly recommend to not sell them, unless you’re in heavy need of gold and want to lose some golden opportunities, then go ahead. 

Alright! That’s the economy system. Now I would like to hear: how should a player be able to get these coins and priceless items?

First Update

Hello! DJ here! I just want to say: thank you very much for following the blog of project V. It’s weird to be a leader while I have no idea what to do in leadership, so hopefully I don’t crash this project to the ground as I always do with my codes and scripts… it should be a good thing, would it not? I have no idea…

Now back on the subject! As few people know about this, I will just mention about this “shiny-new” update thing in the title. Every weekend (from Friday to Monday), there will be a new update of the progress in the project. Sometimes it’s a little update, sometimes big. But there’ll always be only ONE update from me (DJ) in every weekends. The updates will sometimes be about a feature, silly stuff, ideas behind the storyline, pictures and etc etc. The mainly reason behind updates is to get you guys to be interested in the project and let you know what are going in the project. But at same time it’s also to build a routine for me to do something every weekends in related to the project. 

This update picture is just a teaser and a hint to next weekend:
