linux desktop numbers hitting unprecedented percentages (4%, but still a HUGE deal), vintage digicams making cultural waves, a renewed mainstream focus on indie games as people find their niches, just regular ass people buying 3d printers, younger people making noise about encroaching AI and oversaturation of soul-sucking, overly-monetized media.
hell, i've even seen teenagers playing around with blender commenting on blender tutorial shorts on youtube.
it feels like everyone's finally breaking under the pressure of our current political and technological hellscape, and it's hitting everyone to a degree that everyone's synthesizing into a new creative-oriented metaculture.
there's a surge of frustration happening right now and it's one of the things i'm holding onto right now. a lot of things are very bleak right now, but the trend towards active interest in creation and curiosity over resigning yourself to just dealing with consumption culture is hopeful and exciting.

so the other day i made a spacehey blog abt dankpods' most recent collabs being in canada and i had a huge suspicion that he was working with linus again and THE WAY I FUCKING CALLED IT. i'm kinda not happy with the way he not-addressed linus' mismanagement problems and shit. it's a little gross that he kinda doesn't care because he's wade "dankpods" nixon and LMG treats him like the second coming of christ or whatever. it's a little hard to talk about wade like this because he's made such a large impact on my life (in both positive and negative ways) and thinking of him negatively just a little bit even still because he actively works with a piece of shit is so annoyingly hard!!!!!! he doesn't know who you are, you're not katy21 in the waterflame community!!!! ugh i hate getting personal but i felt like i had to because i'm no longer 16 and living with my sister and in an almost self-induced psychosis. it makes me super happy that he's going back into his retro tech roots and just having fun and being human. that's probably one of the things i love about wade is that he's just unashamed to be himself.
