Anselm and Danya started as lovers first, before his madness drove them apart. She and her coterie had to kill him for the horrible things he had done... until he came back as a wraith to haunt Danya, revealing that Anselm was framed, and he was never the mastermind behind all that she had to endure, like the death of her sire and the circus burning down. She had killed an innocent man, and now he is back to torture Danya for her mistake... or maybe their love can even bend time and right the wrongs?

This was one of the first drawings I did for the campaign and i am quite fond of it. It represents how Danya and Anselm relationship was at the time. She had just discovered he was keeping his first love in a temporal stasis to prevent her from turning into ashes (a Ravnos that looked exactly like Danya). They had separated, and she got back to the original group, ending up opposing Anselm even more. She tries to keep everything together, but the more she discovers about the Archon the less she can justify him. While Anselm is completely unmovable in his decisions, not wanting to listen to the advice of a young vampire like Danya. But the more she distances herself from him the more the True Brujah seems to become more and more obsessed with the girl.
He is cursed to love her no matter what, and that curse seems to be driving him insane.
The last time she touched him teh fortune-teller saw a vision of a black sun.

A Ravnos's kiss is hard to forget, Danya's ones always stains deeply.
In order we have
Anselm Godwyn: since he is a true true Brujah he finds this particular shows of affection useless, but with Danya it's always harder to say no.
Rudolf: well he is danya's companion so he gets all the kisses she can give and he never refuses.
Jan Pieterzoon: he never refuses kisses from dany, and as a good Ventrue knows how to take more than he deserves.
Elizabeth DeLacy: she will scoff and complain and push her away at some point, but you might catch her smile if you pay attention

Anselm and Danya have a fascinating story.
Back during the 1400 Anselm was a prime vampire of his clan (True Brujah), who fell in love with a Ravnos girl stationed with her group near his castle. But his sire was against their acquaintance, thinking it would weaken Anselm. Anselm tried to warn her, but in doing that he deeply offended her clan and her family, so she cursed him and went back to her camp. She was almost killed during an attack and he froze her in a temporal stasis to preserve her.
Then in 2018 London he met Danya, a Ravnos Girl identical to his one true love. Seemed like the universe gave him a second chance, but there were dark forces at works that would end up keeping them apart.

Danya and Anselm, the destined lovers that never were.
Anselm a True Brujah cursed with true love, Danya a Ravnos with the face of the woman that once stole his heart and never gave it back.
Their relationship became incredibly complicated, he can't simply get over her, and Danya would never want to him to go away. When they are away they aren't happy, and when they see each other's they keep fighting. They are a bit like Sire and Childe since he taught her Temporis, but she is too stubborn, and they see the world very very differently. But he isn't so cruel to steal her away and love her enough to prefer her to be happy. And she isn't so pure and good to not want his presence anyway.
