I’d be terrified! Why did you decide to go toestopless?
Haha, I am still terrified! There are so many advantages to it. I have weak ankles - I've sprained them both too many times even before derby - and skating without toestops builds ankle strength (getting up from falls, etc.). Duck running is also supposed to be a bit better than toestop running, too. Also, my toestops are really long stemmed, so they aren't there to be tripped on! It's also to help with my heel slipping, too, because they mainly slip when I am toestop running or doing turning stops. Stopping, starting and most things are made a lot harder, but I am determined to skate without toestops and maybe, eventually, put them back in :)
