Fact: Dara collects all the little figurines she finds on her travels because Ronan used to carve her little trinkets when she was younger and they help her feel less homesick. In particular, she takes all the little wolves and sets them up around her quarters to ward off trouble like Clan Lavellan's Fen'Harel statues. If you look closely, however, one of them is actually a mabari. She calls that one Cullen.

I…cannot…begin to describe how freakin’ adorable that is. Using the statuettes to ward off trouble, that’s so awesome! I love when elf characters find small ways of incorporating their culture into their lives like that, and I cannot even get over the image of one of them being a mabari named Cullen, that is just…yes.

Thalon and Nindarhmen have a pair of silverite pendants in the shape of ravens that Rion crafted for them for their wedding – the first wedding, when Thalon was bonded to Nindarhmen. The ravens represent the ravens that guided Dirthamen through the Beyond to be reunited with his nas’falon (twin soul), Falon’Din, after which they swore never to be parted again.

Since Thalon and Nindarhmen are two such nas’falon themselves, the ravens are the perfect symbol of their union and love for one another. Little did they know, of course, that they’d both one day fall in love with Rion as well. <3
