The Pico Dolly lets you take great shots with little to no effort

If you were intrigued by the CineSkates, then this should also be of your liking. CheesyCam, the creators of The Pico Dolly, were concerned that existing dolly options were either too big, too expensive, or too poorly built so they built the Pico Dolly. This is a good rig with a lot of possibilities. Especially if you are shooting a short on a miniature set or even small products. 

Unlike the CineSkates, which currently costs $150 and isn't scheduled to ship until October, the Pico Dolly can be had for $65 and an extra $25 gets you the 11 inch friction bar for more complicated shots and is scheduled to ship by September 12th.

ZionEyez now has a prototype with a more grounded spec list, including a 720p camera and 8GB of memory, along with micro-USB and Bluetooth connectivity for livecasting to Qik or Livestream. You can swap out the removable sunglass lenses for clear versions, or throw in your prescription in daylight (tinted) or indoor flavors, since many optical stores stock appropriately sized lenses. Availability for these $199 HD Ray-Ban clones is currently slated for fall (assuming ZionEyez hits its funding target), but you can pre-order your pair for $150 on Zion's Kickstarter page.

"iKeyboard" Could Solve the Problem With Typing on the iPad

iKeyboard, is a new project from Kickstarter which could finally offer a solution to the difficulties of typing on the iPad.

"My solution is to provide the feedback missing from a virtual keyboard by "grafting," or piggybacking, a real keyboard onto the screen. My invention—the iKeyboard—will sit atop the virtual keyboard and be lightweight. It will add little bulk and not increase the footprint of the tablet. It will be easy and fast to deploy and remove.The iKeyboard will improve accuracy and typing speed, letting tablet users do real writing. It will set the brain free. In certain settings—the lecture hall, the library, the classroom—the iKeyboard will be an essential tool rather than just a useful accessory." They are working with IDEAZ, the iKeyboard's inventor, Cliff Thier, has managed to match the feel of a physical Apple keyboard. (which in my perspective seems pretty useful) "The designers at IDEAZ have managed to match the force required to depress a key on the iKeyboard to the force needed to depress a key on an Apple keyboard. They’ve also succeeded in making the iKeyboard's keys travel a distance equal to that of Apple keys. We now have a fully functional prototype that works pretty well.The highest hurdles have been jumped." Everyone can contribute to the project to be one of the first recipients of the iKeyboard. Apple Delays iMac Orders in Advance of New Model?

Apple is reportedly delaying orders for its iMac computer in advance of an anticipated update next week, according to 9to5Mac. The site received corroboration of this from a reader who says Apple delayed his order for an iMac from the Apple online education store.  Due to an unexpected delay, we are unable to ship the following item(s) by the date that you were originally quoted: Z0JP, IMAC 27\”/5750/SD will now ship on or before May 02, 2011 It looks like the actual release date might be May 4th.
