Alanian necropolis outside the village of Dargavs, called "City of the dead". It comprises 99 different tombs and crypts. This is a necropolis of the XIV-XVIII centuries, grandiose in its scale and significance. By the way the tomb is arranged, you can understand how rich this or that clan was, to which it belongs. According to one of the versions, at the turn of the 17th-19th centuries, a plague epidemic raged on the land of Ossetia, after which the Ossetians were on the verge of extinction, and some sick, with no one to bury them, would go into their family crypts and await their death.
