trailing a new sleep medication (daridorexant) tonight, kinda nervous.... 😬
Trialing a new sleep medication (daridorexant) and it very much does not like me... (as may be evident from this post being at 4 AM in my timezone): has given me a migraine both nights so far; a novel form of exploding head syndrome involving what sounds and feels like ever-increasing whooshes of wind circling through my head; has caused sleep paralysis, which usually happens maybe once a month for me, both nights too; hallucinations while falling asleep are significantly more severe and paranoia-inducing; and as a final bonus has induced very bizarre dreams that probably shouldn't be classed as nightmares or scary but are incredibly unsettling and feel like being in a horror film prior to the overt horror reveal.
If any other insomniac already experiences exploding head syndrome, sleep paralysis, and hypnagogic hallucinations, I cannot recommend daridorexant less providing you don't want a terrible time (unless I am just as unlucky as usual). 2/10, and the two points are solely because if not for the side effects it would genuinely be great for me, as this is the most easily sleepable I have felt in my entire life...shame about the psychological warfare.

Bisher wirkten Schlafmittel ähnlich wie eine Narkose. Daridorexat setzt an anderen Rezeptoren an
