♦: Slow dancing
She had been more than happy to follow him onto the dance floor under a challenge, but when the music had suddenly change to slow down, she’d tried to backpedal back off the dance floor. Before she could, he’d caught her and pulled her close, a strange look in his eyes. She wasn’t sure if it was a continuation of the challenge, or just how tipsy they were, but it set butterflies off in her stomach in a way he could not normally manage.
At his insistence, she had put her hands on him awkwardly, realizing with a blush that this was something she’d never done before, dancing so close with someone. She glanced around at what the other dancers were doing, then looked back at him and tried to copy it, “L-like this?” She asked, cursing herself for feeling so very flustered by this.
“No. More like this.” He managed to look fully confident as he slid a hand down to her low back, putting a little pressure there till they were nearly flush with each other, their faces close enough that he could study the fine details of her eyes. His own heart was beating fast at his own daring, and he was loving it. “Follow my lead.” He murmured, reminding himself that he was supposed to be dancing, not staring, even as her breath ghosting across his skin drove him to madness.
