“My world is fire. And blood.” (Kineth)
Annie nodded solemnly - this wasn’t just him speaking as a friend, this was him speaking as prince and guardian, and now as her teacher. With the ice gone from her veins, she could feel the fire fully, coursing through her. The ice had nearly squelched it, made it hard to use. Now it threatened to overflow her. She needed training again. Blood, she also had to learn. Up till now she’d avoided going with the vampires on their hunting trips, as she was still too emotionally close to humans. She no longer had a choice of staying away.
“I’m ready, now.” She told him - albeit with some trepidation. She’d heard horror stories of his physical training methods. She allowed herself a small smile, “Do I have to call you master?” She paused for effect, then, in the same tone he always said it, “That was a joke.”
