The Zhuangzi Game was recently relisted on YouTube! https://youtube.com/@syntheticwool4711?si=rB8IOG6lj9UdL7Bv I know you posted about the series in December 2024, which might as well have been eons ago (time is practically relative at this point), but I decided to peruse Tumblr for any lingering analyses and found your mention of its former status as lost media. Perhaps the whole endeavor would have been more exciting if I actively followed the connected ARG during its release; you can still download the game through Mega files, yet it does not embody a collaborative environment's intensity, and the "Solution" video is still missing. Either way, I am glad the creator is at peace with their work now.
As for Dark Castle: both the original (https://youtube.com/@darkcastle314?si=597s2nQi8bcKWsZB) and rebooted (https://youtube.com/@darkcastle7437?si=Gqgkp8vIsdQKse0L) iterations still exist, although they descend into madness rather quickly... I assume the creator burnt out and became resentful of their own creations. What a shame. I appreciated the Vectrex-ish graphics. Hooray for abstract narratives that aim to advance a theme, rather than a concrete story.
