Okay but my question is how would have 11 reacted to Clara going mad in Dark Water? Because...I’d want to see that. Or you know, write it.
Days didn’t happen inside of a locked, dark box. Sleep happened too regularly, feeding happened only when she was asleep. Clara raged against the walls until she was too tired and hungry to carry on. The first few times she refused the food, letting it spoil before it was removed while she slept. After days, hours, weeks, whatever it took, she began to eat just to pass the time. Rage simmered into boredom, into solitary, mind numbing silence. Silence turned to tears for some time, until she wanted nothing more than to be out of there and the pleading began. Bargaining at the walls.
The only metric she had to gauge the time was the healing of the gashes from being in the Dalek on the side of her head, which was healed to the point where scabs didn’t even form anymore when the door to her dark cage opened in a flood of white light. Tears came to her eyes in a flood of grattitude.
