I wanted to try my hand at doodling my own version of the silly “Overlord Daroach” from the manga and I think he came out pretty good!

some hcs; he has asthma as a result of the Dark Nebula thing, which directly influences his thoughts. Nebula still lingers in his mind rent free and can pop up when tf it wants to ala Dark Daroach. Dark Daroach themself uses they/them because they're a mishmash of roach and nebula. speaking of, Nebula kinda tosses up warning signs via darker fur specks and messing with roach's clothes as a way to say "hey you're poking the bear"

Kirby Air Riders Countdown: 12 days

(some irl stuff happened yesterday so i gotta combine two days)

Today's riders are Daroach and Knuckle Joe! I drew a little sketch of Daroach, I like his design a lot. Might color it tomorrow

Also, here's the alternate palettes! Knuckle Joe's is similar to his appearance as an enemy in Kirby Super Star ultra, just with brown hair instead, and his headpiece is gold.

(Images used are from WiKirby) Daroach is from Kirby Squeak Squad, released in 2006 for the DS. He was originally an antagonist in Squeak Squad, but became Kirby's ally in Mass Attack.

Knuckle Joe is an enemy originally from Kirby Super Star, released for the SNES in 1996. He gives the fighter copy ability when inhaled. He also appears in Kirby: Right Back at Ya! as a reoccurring character.

I really like Daroach's appearance in Air Riders, love how his cape looks! It's really fun to try to recreate the torn look with the liquify tools in Procreate.
