Commissions open once again!

Howdy folks, little late on the draw here, but commissions are back open! New options and more variety available! Hit me up if you're interested, all info is inside my Carrd!

MS Paint commissions are still on hold for a while, mainly because I can't draw at work anymore like I did before! I'm still figuring out a more low-budget option for folks though, so stay tuned!

Commissions Closed (but hopefully only for a little bit)

Hey guys, quick update! As the title suggests of course, I'm closing my commissions (both big scale and Ko-fi sketches) for a little while. I plan on getting things back up and running within a few weeks/a month at most, so I'll be back on track soon. I'm closing them to give my Carrd a big revamp, regarding the types of commissions I want to offer.

I've been doing some thinking lately and have come to the simple conclusion that ... I really do not like doing line art. It's very tedious and it sucks. I have way more fun doing things linelessly, and being able to be rougher with it and not so clean and tidy. So, my commissions are going to reflect this. With two exceptions, I'm only going to be offering lineless stuff from now on. My Carrd will obviously have plenty of examples of what this style entails, so no worries.

The two aforementioned exceptions will be:

Ref sheets. Those are some of my top sellers and people like them. Those also make the most sense being cleanly lined and colored, so those will stay the same. Although, I may offer a lineless style ref sheet for those that want it, but still have the option for lined.

Ko-fi sketches. Those are just simple MS Paint things and don't take a lot out of me, so those also will remain unchanged.

I like having fun with my art so this is to my benefit. And yours, too! I've always stressed about longer turnaround times because I just didn't wanna do line art that much. So hopefully, this will speed things up and also return a better product.

I think at first, the only thing Mads wants to do is rip his head off, but perhaps after a while... she gains some kind of weird respect for him with how deranged he is. Wouldn't quite say friends, but there's an appreciation.

In-game Tenna… just personally, the limited 3D and REALLY great expressions/poses/animations do a lot to make up for how boring I find the base design of “skinny guy in a suit with a TV for a head.”

I’ve been trying to articulate why I think he looks so much better fat — maybe part of it is the contrast of curves and roundness with his Big Rectangle Face? it complements how ridiculously tall he is? part of it for me is definitely that fat Tenna doesn’t look like he was designed purposefully to become a “Tumblr sexyman”… which skinny Tenna kinda does, imo. But whatever it is, it’s real to me. Thank you for spreading Fat Tenna Supremacy 🫡

I think that base Tenna wasn't necessarily designed specifically to be a Tumblr sexyman, those parameters just sorta tend to be Toby's design conventions. But, I still definitely see what you mean. He does come across that way, and he ends up looking really top heavy with his big box head and skinny body. Which, not all top-heavy designs are bad, I still think canon Tenna is a great design.

But, making that man fat figuratively and literally rounds out his design much better. Again, CRTs are big and heavy! He needs a big body to hold that TV on his shoulders. And he's already like 10 ft tall, might as well make him 10 ft wide, too (silly)

It's my duty as a fat man myself to spread my propaganda 🫡 It's very important to me. Everyone get fatter now.

just want to say that i love love love the mtv au stuff you've been putting out, everything from the song to the sprite art to the doodles to even the bullet-point lists of ideas are so creative and interesting. also, you draw a VERY hot tenna. 😁
