DREAM LAND AU - Daroach (Doroccia) new Render.
.
Soo... I think I'm just to throw you Rouge's redesign as Daroach in this AU out of nowhere! (Ya can Tell Kirby Air Riders trailers have affected me lately)
I remember seeing somewhere that the monster!twist Au takes place in the Middle Ages. So if it took place in the modern era, would the monster!twist cast and monsters in general be less likely to kill? Because I get it. In the Middle Ages, there was nothing exciting to do but kill, plus people were constantly trespassing on their territory, whether by accident or purposely. Buttt in the modern era, there would be more things to do. Like for the ones who can shape-shift, they could go out partying and eat good food every once in a while. And their territories could be blocked off and marked to the public so there won't be as many accidental trespassing. Then there's the weaponry we have. Guns, bombs, and other things. Sure, some of them can use magic, but I'm pretty sure most of them are not bullet- or bomb-proof.
warnings: Human eating,
I don't think they would be less likely to kill persayy. The cast didn't kill simply for entertainment, while a majority of them do take enjoyment from playing with their food (unfortunately for poor MH!Reader), they do need to consume to stay alive. So I don't personally believe they be less likely to killl, it does still happen in a modern setting.
Along with that, in terms of consumption, I thought of it similar to Tokyo Ghoul (Though less extreme)!! They can eat human food, but after consuming human and vitality for so long, stomaching regular meals is a struggle. It won't weaken their bodies, and they can keep it down for like, 10 minutes, but after that, they gotta puke it up. They can still feel the effects from the food though, if it's good food it won't taste horrible to them, their body will just reject it. So unfotunately, I think eating people is still something they have to do 😔.
I like the idea of territories being marked off! It lessens the chances but there are always those people who simply must break the rules... It's also a bit harder to block off areas that take up a large part of the world (Savanaclaw with an entire savana, Octavinelle with the ocean, and Scarabia with the desert).
Weaponry is definitely more advanced, and those with magic are more protected, but another thing is that, they either 1. are extremely durable, 2. don't have a tangible form, or 3. immortal. which is the biggest problem. I do think morden weapons could put a dent in them to keep them back! But never away forever. ╥﹏╥
For the most part though, killings definetely do happen less often from people not coming to them anymore, but yknow... If the food doesn't come to you, you have to get it yourself. andd...
well, night is always the best time to find lonely food wandering about :)
