Who needs friendship when you can have power

Emily walks down the dirt road, making her way to the preserve. Her eyes were clouded with hungry for the magic that was ahead of her. The once rainbow heart plus with purple and red magic, spiraling out like a spider's web. There was only a small smile on her lips. "Who needs friends anyway" She whispered.

30 Days of Character Development: Day 30

30.) And finally: Write a letter to your character, from yourself.

Dear Emily,

I like you, you are one of the funnest characters to write for. It's kinda scary how easy it is to get into your head...and considering your thoughts I think I should probably consult someone. Immediately.

You started of as just a vague idea, I never actually planned you to become the character you are now. I'm glad you did, however, because I feel I can take you in any direction and you'd make it work. You are that awesome.

I hope you continue to be amazing in the future.

30 Days of Character Development: Day 29

29.) How does your character smell? Do they wear perfume or cologne? Emily doesn't wear perfume, she doesn't see the point of it. She isn't out to impress anyone so she doesn't see why she should care how she looks or, in this case, smells.

30 Days of Character Development: Day 27 and Day 28

27.) Pick two songs that describe your character at two different points of their life, and explain why you chose them. Numb - Linkin Park Emily during the majority of her teenage years, just angry at the world, at her father, at her doppelgänger...and deep down at herself as well. She closes herself off and pretends she doesn't give a damn about anything and for a while it works. She does things that she'll later come to regret and makes a reputation for herself that'll last longer than she feels comfortable. For The Heart I Once Had - Nightwish Emily now, she feels like she can't change, that it's too late for her and that she's already chosen a path and has to stick to it. She made mistakes and she doesn't know if she can fix them or if she even wants to try. She doesn't believe in redemption because she's convinced herself that it doesn't exist and that nobody really wants her anyways so there's no point in trying...but she has become a better person regardless, even if it's only by a small amount. 28.) If your character’s life was a genre, what would it be?  Probably science fiction with a dash of thriller and action/adventure.

25.) Describe your character’s hands. Are they small, long, calloused, smooth, stubby?

Emily's hands are kinda small and are slightly calloused from years of having to fend for herself. 

26.) Second day of favorites! Favorite comfort food, favorite vice, favorite outfit, favorite hot drink, favorite time of year, and favorite holiday.

Favourite comfort food: A big bowl of beef stew

Favourite vice: Either wrath or envy...although sliding more towards envy at the moment.

Favourite outfit: Anything practical, however she does love wearing leather jackets. 

Favourite hot drink: Tea (she is British after all)

Favourite time of year: Autumn 

Favourite holiday: Halloween
