He dared to hope that the son of Jupiter would accept the refusal and accept it, find himself another girl or boyfriend.
But...
the hands on his wrists were firm and confident, someone else's knee rested between his forcibly spread legs, electric blue eyes shone with cold-blooded confidence.
— Hush, Perce, — soft lips gently touched his neck, goosebumps ran over his skin, — I will be gentle and affectionate, you will enjoy it if you don't resist and scream.
a few hours later, Percy is left lying on the floor with pain throbbing all over his body, painted skin and dried blood on his thighs.
Jason even kissed him and covered with his toga.

But onto this one!
TW: dark, murder, blood. This is not for the faint of heart, please proceed with caution.
"On your right!" Someone screams. It's not for his benefit. He is a weapon of mass destruction. The warning is for his opponent.
Percy Jackson slides under a gleaming sword and vaults back up with a wicked smile on his face. “Missed me."
The demigod shrieks, turning back around to face him.
"I will kill you Percy Jackson."
"You know I get tired of hearing that after ten years of this."
"Stop talking and fight me like the hero you're supposed to be."
He bares his teeth, green eyes flashing with anger, "I'm nobody's hero."
"Now that's a lie if I've ever heard one." A deep, clear voice from behind them drawls.
"Now is not the time you hopeless romantic." He laughs, turning to see his godly boyfriend landing on the ground with a soft thud.
"There's always time to appreciate you." Blue eyes twinkle, love and amusement glittering like stars.
"Can you two just shut up for like five seconds?" The demigod he had forgotten about growls, "I have shit to do and I'd prefer if we could get this over with."
"Better things to do than killing us?" Percy raises a brow, "Gee so sorry we're keeping you from your busy schedule."
"What's the problem anyway?"
"Your worthless trash of a boyfriend refuses to die."
"Oh," He winces, "You probably shouldn't have said that."
Jason's eyes flash with something otherworldly, dark, sinister, beautiful, "Why are you trying to kill him?"
The demigod' s expression flashes with disgust, like this simple task is beneath them, "Orders from the boss."
"And who is the boss?" His boyfriend asks quietly.
Percy can feel the air turning electric around them, can see the lightning slowly crackle in Jason's veins. After all these years, he knows better than anyone when his love is going to explode, can read the signs faster than even the blonde himself.
"We're under oath to keep the secrecy of the boss' identity."
"Cowards!" The Son of Jupiter growls, "Tell us and we can make this easy."
The sky above them goes a sickly shade of grey, and there are bolts flashing behind those blue eyes.
The demigod looks between them, fear finally seeping in. But they see Percy's smirk and something becomes visibly stone in their expression.
"Fuck you. I'll kill both of you."
The world detonates and green eyes dance with laughter as the demigod claws at their throat, eating lightning like candy.
"Tell us." The blonde's voice is deathly quiet. Soft with malice.
"Chiron." They gasp. Their body stiffens, hazel eyes freezing in an expression of horror. And with a single flick of his wrist Jason effaced the air from the demigod's lungs, carrying it in his golden fingers, and blew a kiss to the sky with that stolen oxygen.
"Gods you're hot," Percy sighs, looking at him with dark eyes and seduction.
"Later," His boyfriend laughs, "First we got a centaur to kill."
He grabs onto those broad shoulders, nuzzling his nose into his neck. Jason wraps his arms around him and kisses his forehead.
"You ready?"
"Fly me away Superman." He giggles.
And so they take to the skies, Percy clinging onto him with all his might and Jason laughing into the world.
"Why do I let you convince me this is a good idea?" He groans, "I hate this."
"The excuse to hold me outweighs your fear," The blonde whispers in his ear.
"It's your fault for being so godsdamn attractive."
His answer is met with laughter, and happiness, and never-ending love.
"Do we have to kill Chiron?"
Jason's body goes taut with anger, not at him. Never at him. "He tried to hurt you. He will not get away with that."
"I know," Percy winces, "But he raised me in this world. It seems... wrong?"
"What do you want to do instead?" The blonde finally gets out. Compromise. Collaboration. He knew it took a lot to get to this stage.
"Maybe we could—"
The Son of Jupiter gasps, his whole body shuddering.
In an instant Percy knows something is wrong, very, very wrong. A growing pool of blood is growing on the blonde's shirt, and a pretty wooden arrow is sticking out of his back.
"What the fuck?" He yells, looking around for the shooter.
"Perc," His boyfriend whispers, "I can't hold us up for much longer.
And then they're plummeting to the ground, wind screaming in their ears, twin hearts beating faster than a hummingbird’s wings.
But Percy is not afraid. For below them is the ocean and in his many years of living that great blue expanse has always been a safe place, a comfort, a protector. So they hurtle to their watery end and when they hit the sea Percy feels himself come alive.
He snaps the arrow at his boyfriend's back and puts a bubble of air around him.
"Here," He offers the ambrosia with a stern look, "Eat."
"We have to go out there and kill them."
His smile is vengeance incarnate, "Oh we will.” It was fine when it was just him they were attacking but to target Jason. To target his love. There are no lines he wouldn’t cross, no place too dark to venture to. He is a hypocrite for it. But he doesn’t care. “First you're going to heal. Because this isn't going to be quick. They will suffer for drawing even a drop of your blood."
Jason's eyes widen, darken, fill with desire, "I love it when you get like this."
"Destructive?" He grins.
"Powerful."
And then his boyfriend is pulling him close and kissing him like the world ends today. He can taste the ambrosia still dissolving on his tongue, more than that he can taste lightning and potent love. The kiss is rough and stinging and full of teeth. But it's raw with hunger and relief too.
"Let's go have some fun." Jason breathes.
And he can't help but giggle with anticipation as they rise through the ocean and walk across it.
The destroyer and his healer.
An arrow flies towards them. With a single swipe of his hand Percy shatters the cool metal. Jason gathers the shards in the air and watches as they group to form a broken spear pointing back at their attackers.
With a whispered hum the broken pieces fly across the sea and pierce six hearts perfectly.
Finally the two reach land, grainy sand sinking under their weight as they take in the scene in front of them. Twenty centaurs, four demigods, and an array of bodies convulsing on the ground as their own arrows slice their organs.
"Why?" Percy tilts his head, staring directly at the centaur he had known for so much of his life.
"You are too powerful. We cannot risk letting you roam free. We must keep the balance." Chiron's voice is almost robotic, as if he had rehearsed the words so many times they've lost all meaning.
"Roam?" He laughs, "I do not roam. I'm not a fucking animal. I live." He glances at the crowd, "And you are afraid because you do not know how to."
"Shoot him." Chiron bellows.
They all pull their bows taut, eyes gleaming with misplaced hate. The arrows let loose. Soar towards them.
"I don't think so." Jason smirks. And suddenly those deadly shafts are frozen midair, hanging like gleaming charms.
Someone gasps, another faints, dies from fear.
"Leave us alone Chiron." The Son of Jupiter says softly. It is not a request. It is a command.
"Stand your ground," The old centaur mutters grimly.
"You know you will not walk away from this." Jason's voice is music, and melodies, and opulent demolition.
Percy can't hold in a beam as he stares at the blonde. Now is probably not the time to be drooling over himself with attraction but there's just something about Jason Grace like this that makes him feral with excitement, temptation.
"Stand your ground!" The centaur screams.
And it works because everyone, cowering or not, straightens their backs and sets hard gazes on the two demigods.
They release twin sighs, knowing they tried their best.
"Why does no-one ever listen?" He rolls his eyes.
"You think at some stage they'd learn." His boyfriend snorts. And the arrows still suspended in the air quake, as if trying to break from their hold.
"Shall we then?" He turns to meet that electric gaze.
Jason let's the arrows go and Percy whips his arm in a circular motion, lifting the ocean from behind them and slamming it into the crowd of killers.
Bloodied and choking the diminishing group sprint towards them, arrows bouncing out of their skin.
They don't get more than ten steps before lightning rains down, stabbing their every orifice. And just to make it special Percy feeds each of them ocean water and laughs as their insides fry, electrocuted by the sea and the sky.
It is over in a matter of seconds, not a body moving, twitching, breathing. Except one. A demigod with bright hair, drunk on fear.
"Please," She begs, "Please don't kill me.
"You tried to kill us even when we asked you not to. Why should we give you the courtesy?" He spits.
"Please," She cries, and that's all she says, all she mutters over and over again.
"Lucky for you," Jason shrugs, "We like to have one survivor to pass the warnings on. The stories."
She whimpers, clawing at the sand in an attempt to get away.
Percy laughs, wraps the earth around her ankles. "Not so fast. Tell them. Tell all of them what happened today. And make sure they know that it was not us who started it. But we gladly finished it."
"Nobody ever wants the villains to win," The blonde looks at her sympathetically, "But I ask you this: if we are the villains of your story, who do you think are the villains of ours?"
Her eyes widen, and then she turns on her side and heaves.
"Take care darling," He waves, "And here's some ambrosia for that wound on your side." He tosses her the little bag of golden squares with a wink.
And then Percy Jackson and Jason Grace link hands, glance at the decimation they caused and share twin smiles.
Villains or heroes?
No, that had never applied to them. They had always be something else, something more.
Nobody is surprised that i have another dark jercy fic. This struck me out of nowhere, so i had to rush into my phone’s notes app to get it down. I hope you enjoy young ones :)

Percy's wrists were bleeding. The rope burning into his skin; it felt like fire. He smirked at his captor.
"Is this the best you got?"
His words slurred, a product of a swollen jaw and a broken nose.
"You really have a death wish son of Poseidon?" The stranger spat.
"The universe has been trying to kill me since the day I was born. You do not scare me." He scoffed, wincing at the motion.
"You are tied up, bleeding out, and there is no-one coming to rescue you," Silver eyes glittered with arrogance, "And you are not even a little scared?"
Percy rolled his eyes, "Do you think you're special? Because so far you haven't given me any reason to be scared."
"Conceited child!" The stranger roared, slapping him. The crack echoed around the room.
"Are you done?" He deigned to laugh.
"Give me the key Percy Jackson,"
"I mean I don't really know why you think my answer would have changed since the last time you asked me. I. Don't. Have. It."
"You were the last one with it, you insolent fool. Don't you dare lie to me."
"What are you gonna do?" He smirked, "Kill me?"
The stranger cocked their gun, put the cool metal to Percy's forehead.
"Yes."
"Okay," He shrugged.
They clicked back the safety, pressing the weapon further into his skin, "Are you sure you don't know where the key is?"
"You know, I recall something about it." His lips twitched, holding back a smile.
The stranger pushed into his space, their noses brushing, "Where. Is. It?"
"Mhm no i was talking about my mom's apartment key. She lost it the other day and I think I remember where she put it."
The last thing Percy saw was a flash of silver before something slammed into the back of his skull.
***
He blinked, squinting at the harsh light over him.
"Ah you're awake,"
"You still haven't killed me?" He frowned, "Wow they really don't make villains like they used to."
"You think you're so funny half-blood," The stranger smiled, "But let's see who will be laughing now."
Before he had time to ask what was happening the door slammed open and a body was being thrown into the room.
He squinted trying to make out the figure in the darkness.
The person groaned, and then cursed as the silver-eyed stranger grabbed their hair and yanked them into the light.
Percy's body went still. The world narrowed, blurred, morphed.
His voice was made from malice and violence, "What the fuck is he doing here?"
"You do not want to tell me where the key is, so I thought i’d provide a little motivation."
"Let him go."
"No I don't think I will half-blood." And the stranger yanked harder at that beautiful blonde hair.
"Fucker," Percy spat, "Leave him out of this."
"Jason," He rasped, pulling at the ropes around his wrists. He needed to get to him, needed to touch him, hold him, make sure he was—
"Are you going to tell me where the key is Son of Poseidon?"
"Don't do it Percy," Jason Grace finally broke.
"Nobody asked for you opinion," The stranger wrapped a hand around the blonde's throat.
Percy let loose a broken scream.
"If I had known this would work I would have brought him in much sooner," The stranger grinned.
"Stop this Corrin, let him go. He doesn't have the key." Jason gasped, clawing at the hand still strangling him.
"No, don't you dare Grace," Percy's blood went cold.
"I'm sorry," Blue eyes blurred with tears, "I'm so sorry Pers,"
"I swear to the gods," His voice caught with fear, "Let him go!"
"Did Jason ever tell you how we met?" That smile was made of broken lies, and destruction.
"Let him go please," Percy's voice cracked, eyes still locked with that lightning gaze.
"We dated for a year," Corrin smirked, "I helped Krios rise, and I asked Jason to follow me. We could have had the world." He turned to face the blonde again, stroking a hand down his cheek, "We could have been unstoppable, my hero."
"I didn't want the world," Jason hissed, "I was happy with you and the legion."
"Liar, you were made for so much more. You know it and I know it." Silver eyes sparkled and it would have been beautiful if it did not mean death. "It's a pity really that I have to kill you."
A flash of bronze pressed against Jason's neck, blood already dripping slowly down that beautiful golden skin.
Percy smiled, slow and wicked. The earth shattered.
There was a bloodcurling scream, a flash of gold and then Percy Jackson was standing in front of a stranger with eyes of silver, impaled to the wall with pieces of concrete.
"I would have let you kill me, I would have let you torture me till I was begging for death. I would have signed on to be your slave if that's what you asked. But you decided to bring someone I love into this. And there are no lines, Corrin," He grinned, the name rolling off his tongue, "There are no lines I wouldn't cross to keep the people I love safe."
The stranger gurgled, blood leaking from his arms, his legs, his throat.
Percy stepped to him, put full lips to his ear, "The key," He whispered, "Is underneath the mountain I blew up when I was fifteen."
"Why are you telling me?" Corrin managed to gasp.
His smile was beautiful in its savagery, "Because you will not live to find it."
And with a single flick of his wrist Percy sliced those pieces of concrete through his pale throat.
Those silver eyes widened, hate flashing in them. Corrin did not move again.
"Percy," Jason groaned from the corner where he had been flung in the chaos.
"Are you okay?" He tried to hold in a sob as he pulled the blonde to him.
"I'm fine, are you okay? Oh gods you look horrible."
He laughed, "I've seen better days. I thought he was going to kill you," Long, dark eyelashes fluttered as he surveyed the boy before him.
"I thought he was going to kill you," Jason mumbled, pulling them together.
"He would have, i—" Percy breathed, "I would have let him. But you oh gods, he made you bleed and I saw red."
"I would have slaughtered him, burned the world if he killed you." Jason's voice scorched with fury.
"We are together now, my love." He whispered.
"Let's go home."
They each grabbed the chain that dangled elegantly around their necks, and watched as the metal molded, the glow giving away to reveal a key.
Percy Jackson and Jason Grace intertwined their fingers, stepped past the artwork of death mounted to the wall by jagged concrete pins, and walked into Olympus.
So so so you guys know I literally have heart attacks when Percy goes dark and I am so so tempted to write a Jercy Fic where Percy finds out Jason dies and he's fucking furious
BUT
WHAT IF PERCY DIES??!?!?!?!
If Dark Percy gives me cardiac arrest, Dark Jason is gonna straight up stop my brain bro.
Holy shit the whole Dark Jercy thing gets me highhhhhhh
Anyway I love the idea of Jason literally frying people because they killed his Percy.
I am so happy I managed to finish this!! It's probably the longest piece in my "baby fanfic series" that I've ever done but I lovvveeeee it! I hope with all my heart you do too <3
Also I have no idea how to add the Keep Reading thing on mobile and I cannot use my laptop right now so I'm sorry for all the scrolling. Please forgive me!
Anyway, enjoy the Dark Jercy, my loves

The sky was the most brilliant shade of blue Percy had ever seen. It was like the ocean had found heaven, it was like the world was made only yesterday.... it was like Jason Grace's eyes.
Today was the first day of summer vacation and for once in his long and bloodied life Percy didn't have to do a damn thing. He wasn't off to camp, or summer school or on some deadly quest. No he was off to the beach to surf and then grab a bite at his favourite diner on 6th street.
It had been a long time since he had felt peace like this. And he couldn't help but breathe in deeply at every opportunity. Albeit not the best idea in New York City but it calmed something in him that had been brutal and active for so many months, years.
He stepped onto the sand, readying himself to take on a dead sprint right into those crashing waves.

And he was gone, feet sinking, ocean spraying and his board bouncing against his hip.
"Hey yo Jackson!" a voice rumbled from across the ways
Percy skidded to a halt, looking around. And then grinned a grin so dazzling Jason Grace saw stars.
There were few things more addictive in life than the ocean, and hardly anything more addictive than one certain ocean boy going for a surf.
Jason was sure he could die in this feeling.
"Yo Jase, what's up?"
"Nothing much bro, ready for the hols that's for sure."
"Tell me about it," Percy rolled his shoulders, relief shuddering through him.
"So I know you aren't going to the camps this year, what are you up to?"
Percy stared into the horizon, his eyes impossibly green, as they always were near the sea.
"I think--I think I'm just going to live." He finally said.
Jason nodded, understanding more than anyone what his friend meant, "Let me know if you need someone to share that with"
Percy smiled softly and together they walked into the waves, content to live.
Having completley lost themselves to the rhythmless rhythm of the ocean, Jason was shouting excitedly; he was on the verge of catching a really good wave.
Suddenly he was being pulled under, under, under.
It happened so quickly he didn't even have time to yell before water was filling his lungs. Unable to help but think, This is what you get for stepping into Poseidon territory.
Something grabbed his leg and yanked, pulling him from his thoughts and any hope of rescue.
Whoever- whatever- had ahold of him was dragging him into dark waters. Jason knew there wasn't much longer before he passed out but he fought and struggled against the grip on his leg, trying at the very least to kick up enough of a splash to notice it above.
Claws gripped into his skin, drawing blood, and suddenly he couldn't fight it anymore. His whole body was exhausted; he just wanted the burning in his lungs to stop, and the fire crawling up his leg to go away and most of all he wanted to sleep. A single thought rattled in his head.
I hope Percy is okay.
Jason Grace surrendered to the sweet bliss of nothing.
Percy was feeling many things: surprise, frustration, shock, and, fear— never-ending icy fear.
Where on earth did his friend dissappear to?
One minute Jason was catching a wave and the next his board was floating towards the shore.
Before Percy knew what he was doing he untied the strap from his ankle and dived into the ocean-deep.
Swimming furiously, willing his eyes to adjust to the murky darkness, and finally after too many long moments he spotted a group of creatures zapping towards the coral reefs only a few strokes away.
He was about to call out for help when he saw a flash of blond hair bobbing weightlessly between them.
Fear morphed into rage. Cold, lethal, jagged rage.
Percy Jackson was not a boy from New York who loved his mom. He was a halfblood-warrior who only lived to protect the people he loved. And by the seas he would show them how much of god was in his demigod.
He willed the currents to bend to his command and shot off like an arrow towards the monsters. In mere seconds he was upon them, using the water to tug on their limbs, the multitude that there were. He didn't pull very hard, just enough to get their attention. He wanted to face his enemies and look them in the eye before he killed them.
A gurgling hiss greeted his smirk.
"You seem to have something of mine," Percy's voice dripped sickly sweet.
"What do you want Perrcccyyy Jackson?" The one clawing Jason gurgled.
"I want my friend back thank you. He is under the protection of me and Lord Poseidon and to refuse my request would be a very, very bad idea."
The three things laughed, a vile drowning sort of cackle, "We do not answer to Poseidon and we have no obligation to you Percy Jackson"
"See I was afraid you were gonna say that," He sighed.
And without another thought Percy grabbed onto the water in their body, searching for those molecules that sung to him.
"The thing about descending from humans," He grinned manically, "Is that there's still some intricate parts of you that are just like me,"
The creature flanking Jason's limp right side, started gasping, before any of them could react Percy twisted its body obscenely and continued
"How about a quick biology lesson? Did you know that cerebrospinal-fluid is ninety-nine percent water? And I guess that's the part you share with us puny humans because—"
The monster started shaking, seizing up— Percy rushed forward and with one tap to the center of its back, a deafening crack sounded.
"CSF protects the spine and the brain and without it, your body is really really vulnerable. Now how about we give my friend back, mhm?"
That grin was so very sharp .
Jason Grace cut off the arm of the monster still holding his legs and pried those bony, slimy webs off his skin.
The monster shrieked but did not have time to react before his head was being sliced off, mouth framed in a silent cry.
"Hello Jackson, what took you so long?"
"You lucky I even came to find you. The only thing that tipped me off was your lack of incessant prying questions,"
Jason smirked, "Thanks for the air bubble, drowning sucks."
"Tell me about it," Percy rolled his eyes.
"You've drowned? How is that even possible?"
"Long story but there was a lot of mud and way too many nightmares afterwards." He shuddered
Jason nodded and then turned to their last little friend, only to find he had called for some back up.
"Honestly do they ever get tired of going to tartarus?"
"Maybe Son of Poseidon," a particularly nasty variation of whatever monster this was, piped up, "Maybe it will be you going this time?"
"Been there done that, got the trauma, try again."
They simply hissed at the two demigods and surrounded them, cackling and gurgling menacingly.
"You ready?" Jason smiled wide.
Percy's smirk made three monsters scream and flee, "I just wanted a godsdamn peaceful vacation, so let's make this quick."
With a dangerous, throaty laugh the two boys became weapons of destruction.
Jason took the left flank, following in his partners lead, but instead of using CSF he charged the ions in the monsters' blood. Flooded them with so much electricity, they just collapsed. One by one the creatures were electrocuted from the inside out.
Their eyes glowed, red and green, blindingly bright. It was like their brains were exploding. Jason watched in glee as these disgusting creatures convulsed around him.
Percy was just as intoxicated. Laughing as he broke spines, and made contortionists out of bodies.
For so long these two heroes had fought fair, but it had only gotten friends killed and hurt, it had made their wars so much longer, so much bloodier. Well no more. This was easy and painless for them, and so very very fun.
Back to back they called on lightning and water.
Percy figured out how to drown them from the inside out, Jason figured out how to make their brains short circuit. Together they learnt just how lethal lightning and water could be.
Just how beautiful crackling blue and ocean blue can look.
Together they learned to be terrifying.
When there was only swirling sand and some variation of bone around them, they finally turned to each other.
"Well that was a morning workout if I do say so," Percy breathed hard.
Jason laughed, "Come on let's go wash off the stench,"
"We're in the ocean, how much more water do you need?" Percy motioned.
"It's not so much the water as the soap Jackson,"
And as they lazily swam up, Percy using the currents to do all the hard work, the glow in their eyes slowly faded and the look of human seeped back in.
"I should really get this leg checked out," Jason frowned.
"Can't you just use your lighting and zap it better?" That green-eyed boy smirked
"Haha, not all of us can use whatever domain we control to heal."
"That sucks," He nodded sympathetically even though the sparkle in his eye told a different story "Come on we can go back to mine I have ambrosia and I think my mom just made some chocolate-chip cookies"
"You owe me for taking so long,"
"You lucky I saved your ass Grace,"
"Not as lucky as you are for having this ass to save."
"Can't argue with that logic,"
They grinned at each other, and the world trembled. They didn't notice. Lost in whatever they were, whatever they could become.
So i was just playing around with the idea of someone Percy is loyal to betraying him but then it turned into yet another dark jercy fic? No-one is surprised that we ended up here, but i hope you enjoy this nonetheless. And at some stage i will reattempt a Percy-“loyalty is my fatal flaw”-Jackson-has-been-betrayed-by-someone-he-loves fic.

Jason Grace knew something was wrong when the temperature plummeted ten degrees. He stopped, right there in the middle of the street, and fanned his fingers on either side of him. The air crackled, caused his hair to stand on end. Something was very, very wrong. He glanced towards the horizon, towards the ocean and the setting sun. Everything looked calm, still, too still.
Fuck.
And then he was sprinting towards the beach, pushing at the wind to carry him faster, letting it bite at his ankles. He couldn't fly while there were so many mortals. The mist was good but not that good. Finally he was crashing into sand, slipping as it loosened under his feet. And there, in all his beautiful, violent glory was Percy Jackson. His back arched, sea green eyes widened to the sky, mouth open in a silent scream. The Son of Poseidon floated a few inches above the ground, possessed by invisible evil.
"PERCY!" Jason screamed.
The demigod did not so much as flinch. He tried one more time, screamed loud enough his throat scraped but it was no use. So he ventured towards the black-haired boy, slowly as not to disturb anything that might hurt Percy. He dug his feet in, feeling the coolness of the sand hidden under the sun-warmed layer. With careful movements he got to the demigod's side, gently reached out a hand, "Per—"
Fingers wrapped around his neck. Before he could blink he was flung back, slamming into the beach. The breath knocked clean from his lungs.
He was up in a instant, but it was already too late because someone was standing over Percy's body and he was far away, too far.
"Leave him alone!"
He couldn't see who it was, the sun stood at their back, silhouetting the scene. He ran, flew towards them. He was almost there. Almost. Almost. Almost. Fuck. He's still in the same spot. They're so far. Run. Run. Fly. How are they moving? Run Jason. Why aren't I moving?
And then he was being lifted into the air and dragged by his throat, dragged as if he was chasing oxygen as it pulled out of his lungs.
"Now Percy," He heard a voice. Female, an accent. He couldn't see anything, head still twisted up like someone had grabbed his hair and forced him to look at the sky.
"Now you will see why we had to do what we did," The voice was saying.
"How could you?" He heard Percy sob, "How dare you?"
"It was necessary."
"Leave him out of this." The Son of Poseidon growled. "You can do whatever you want with me but you will keep him out of this."
"Sorry, no can do. We need both of you."
Jason fell to the ground, feeling the invisible hands release from around his throat. He tried to pull in air, coughing and choking as his body readjusted. And finally he looked up.
"Hello friend," Hazel Levesque smiled, "Sorry for being so rough, we couldn't have you pulling Percy away before we got what we needed."
"What the fuck are you doing?" He rasped.
"Oh you know, just fulfilling a prophecy."
He scowled at her, "What is going on Hazel?"
She rolled her eyes as if he asked a stupid question, "It's none of your concern Grace. Just know you are a worthy sacrifice."
"Leave him out of this Hazel!" Percy snarled.
"What is she talking about Pers?" He turned to the demigod.
"They're possessed, they're all fucking possessed." He mumbled, pulling at his arms in an attempt to free himself of invisible restraints.
"What is going on?" Jason's voice cracked.
"Hazel is under Hecate's influence. Apparently the goddess didn't like that Hazel wanted to choose her own path. Now she has to do whatever the goddess says."
"What do we have to do with that?"
"Hecate needs the blood of the sea and the sky for something and she threatened to curse the entire camp if Hazel didn't comply."
"Oh gods, oh gods, oh gods." He was hyperventilating now, finger nails cutting into his palms as his fists clenched and unclenched. "Why us?"
"Hazel listen to me, please let us go. We're your friends." Percy pleaded.
"It's really no use," She gave him a viper smile, "I have to do whatever it takes. Sacrifice a few to save many and all that."
"This isn't like you." The blonde cried.
"How would you know what's like me Jason Grace?" She spat.
"Please Hazel," Percy pulled at his arms again, "Just let us go. There has to be another way."
She looked at them, her brown eyes softening, "I'm sorry. I can't risk it."
"What does Frank have to say about this?"
She laughed, sharp and pained, "I wouldn't know. He was taken as compromise."
The Son of Poseidon sucked in a breath, "What?"
"Yes," She giggled, "So you understand why your small sacrifice will inevitably save us all." Her eyes glazed over. She blinked. Blinked again. Gold and earth stared back.
"Now Jason, I just need you to hold still."
A gorgeous deep red ruby glinted in the dying sun. She picked it up, sharp edges sparkling, against her brown skin.
"This'll only take a minute."
In a single second she stood in front of him. He saw her pearly white smile. The ruby sliced across his throat. He tasted iron. The last thing he heard was the piercing scream of Percy Jackson.

Jason gasped, bolting straight up, and immediately hurled at the amount of blood covering his body. The taste of shortbread and honey tea dissolved on his tongue. It had only been a few minutes since Hazel had cut him with the gemstone, even if it felt like hours or years.
There was so much blood, soaking into the white sand. He tore his eyes away from the dark pools and looked around. The beach was empty. Save for him and the blanket of red there was nothing; even the crash of the waves seemed dull, faraway. He tried to gather his bearings, find the others. Hazel was nowhere to be seen. As if she were a mirage. Maybe she was. No-one quite understood her ability to control the Mist. It would not be inconceivable to assume she manipulated it into the shape of her. She would come later. Her betrayal had stung but he understood why she did it. Hell, if he had to choose between killing two to save many it wouldn’t be much of challenge for him either. It was the Son of Poseidon, with his unwavering, unbreakable loyalty that they would need to watch out for. There would be carnage for hurting Jason, and there would be blood for betraying him.
His eyes caught on a discarded bag of ambrosia but as he reached for it those precious golden squares vanished. They were the trigger. The quiet emptiness of the beach fell away, like someone had taken off his blindfold. Reality crashed before him. Chaos. Destruction. Percy.
The world had become water and rock and terror, and there in the middle of it all was the Son of Poseidon.
"Percy!" He screamed, holding an arm up to protect his face from flying shrapnel.
The hurricane raged on, grew in size, in violence.
It was no use he'd have to find a way to get closer. He stood up, legs shaking. No. Ground shaking. Oh gods the demigod was going to cause an earthquake. He had to get to him now.
He called out with every step. Sunk his foot deep into the earth in case Percy could feel it.
"Just a little further."
His shirt was in ribbons, falling apart with every step he took. His cheeks, arms, ribs, legs stung where flying shards of glass and broken shell cut him. But still he moved towards the center of the storm. Moved towards the person causing it.
"Percy," He was close now, only a meter away. He felt the force of the hurricane, felt rock embed itself in his skin. He locked eyes on the demigod and pushed his way into the middle.
"Percy," He called softly, "Stop."
The Son of Poseidon didn’t react, didn't even acknowledge him. Jason moved in closer, until he was standing directly in front of the black-haired boy.
He put a golden hand to a warm brown cheek, "Come back. Come back to me, my love. "
The world went dead still. Stopped entirely.
"I am here. Come back."
Percy Jackson blinked once, twice. Collapsed.
And in the distance the sounds of life started up again. The sound of screaming, and panic.
Jason picked up his boyfriend, glanced at the destruction on a once beautiful beach, and smiled.
He had warned them. Percy had warned them. Warned everyone what would happen if they got hurt. Nobody ever listens.
He glanced down at Percy, kissed his forehead, felt the air push and pull in his airways. And then he tilted his head to the heavens, to his salvation, and smiled that smile that meant war. Jason Grace took to the skies, his boyfriend tucked to his chest, and laughed as the world fell apart all over again.
