what’s your favorite dark 2017 plot line? 👀
incredible question. sorry it took me five days to answer. (spoilers ahead for those who still havent watched!!)
i think my favorite in the whole show is the backstory of the patron saint of travelers necklace. i loved seeing how many characters had it at one point and i absolutely loved finding out how it ended up on the beach. in conjunction with that, katarina is my favorite characters fate of the whole show. its devastating but so so so incredibly well foreshadowed. her kids so many episodes prior at that same beach talking about the legend of a dead lady in the lake and that ghost ending up being their mom in both the past and the future!!!!!! incredible. probably my favorite easter egg in the whole show.
also martha and jonas’ lines from the pilot “a glitch in the matrix” “or a message from the other side” and both of those ending up being true. them being the glitch in the matrix……. i absolutely love this kind of extremely literal foreshadowing. to the point where its almost not foreshadowing, its straight up saying the plot. you rarely see it happen in pilot episodes anymore and that scene being the catalyst for the entire show is just so genuine and incredible when you rewatch. i love a show that so obviously had a plan on the entire story before they started. its so rare these days. ill say it again: best show of all time.
