Regarding Tumblr's Reblog Updates...

We will be on indefinite hiatus until this change has been reversed or otherwise fixed. Daily Grims is ecstatic to participate with our small community of Homestuck Grimdark appreciators—it would be a shame to lose access to that. Thank you for your patience.

Edit! The reblog update has been rolled back, but communications from Tumblr make it clear that an alternative rollout might be in the future. As a result, DG will return to posting in May 2026, just to allow a bit more buffer. Thank you again for that patience!

In that dark hour, a quiet March...

After a whirlwind of activity in February, the team will be on hiatus for the month of March, 2026. Our goal is to build a nice big backlog in the hopes of providing you all with dismal Grimdarks for many months to come. But to do that, we will need your support!

We welcome inspirations of all kinds to our hallowed inbox... Single-word prompts, musical plausibilities, and horrible requests. Flick them into the oil stains. We'll see what crops up.

Join us again in April, 2026 for a disturbing requiem to that pitch dark we love so very much.

are we allowed to request the newgen Homestuck characters? I'd love to see a grimdark Eden or Meri if that's okay!

An excellent question from our anonymous masses...

With due respect: no. Eden, Meri, or any of the "reread interpretations" of Homestuck's re-release are not characters that Daily Grims will produce imagery of—they are simply fanon in-joke "interpretations" of the original Homestuck cast. Thus, art of Eden would simply be art of an AU Jade.

Perhaps others will be more inclined. We are not.

We have updated our RULES to reflect this position.
