Dark Skeletons in the Depths (1/3): Hebra Dark Skeleton

The Hebra Dark Skeleton lies within the depths of Hyrule‘s northwestern corner. Even tho partially buried beneath stone this skeleton still bears a strong resemblance to what it is rumored to have been once.

I am sure one day there will be some sort of video talking about the Dark Skeletons of the Depths, and as far as I know there is not some quest tied to them. I want to talk about them though so here goes.

Unlike the Great Skeletons we find on the surface, the skeletal remains we find in the Depths look very similar. Serpentine or draconic, not sure which. There isn't many clues of what these Great Dark Skeletons are as there isn't many serpentine-like creatures other than the dragons we see. Though as far as I can tell, the skeletons do not seek to have feet, or even horns for that matter so it points to these Skeletons being more snake-like?

I am no expert on skeletal remains. But you can take a look at these photos I captured to compare and contrast between them.

Here is what we see on the map of each of the skeletons.

Edited for a better view since the one in the Gerudo is very hard to see.

So what is your theories on what these are? Dragons? Large extinct snakes? Maybe some past Zelda game bosses? I cannot recall any snake bosses. Let me know if you guys have any theories.

Hero of the Wild Clothing Set Locations

For anyone looking for the Botw/TotK hero outfit:

Each piece of the set is inside the skulls of the three Dark Skeletons in the Depths, which are located right underneath the three Great Leviathan Skeletons.

The Cap of the Wild is inside the skull of the Hebra Dark Skeleton, underneath the Hebra Great Skeleton.

Coordinates: -3956, 3723, -0858

The Tunic of the Wild is inside the skull of the Gerudo Dark Skeleton, underneath the Gerudo Great Skeleton.

Coordinates: -4878, -3720, -0458

The Trousers of the Wild are inside the skull of the Eldin Dark Skeleton, underneath the Eldin Great Skeleton.

Coordinates: 1673, 3723, -0561

The last skeleton!  Good, I’m tired of them.  The Dark Skeleton actually is my favorite color scheme for them, I think.  The other recolors are a little bit clashy, but this muted palette works out good.  Nice and spooky.

The Gerudo Dark Skeleton lies within the depths of Hyrule‘s southwestern corner. Even tho partially buried beneath stone this skeleton still bears a strong resemblance to what it is rumored to have been once.

The Eldin Dark Skeleton lies within the depths of Hyrule‘s northern corner. Even tho partially buried beneath stone this skeleton still bears a strong resemblance to what it is rumored to have been once.
