Cid. I know this might sound crazy, but I need you to land here.” Tifa said to Cid, who gave her a look of confusion. “I ain’t too keen on sendin’ ya’ down there, especially by yourself.” He exclaimed, biting down on the bud of his cigarette. He had to give it to the girl. She didn’t know about submitting to loss, nor did she want to. Something to admire, despite his age. Hell, you learn a lot of shit about people you’ve barely know. A light smirk formed on his face at the thought. “I know that, Cid, but Cloud wouldn’t give up on us.” She exclaimed, sighing mostly to herself. “I know how to fend of anything that comes in my way, so you have nothing to worry about.” Tifa assured with a smile.
“Make sure you get that blonde bastard back here, or else ya’ gonna hear from me.” Cid replied softly, then handing her a few materia. “They’ve been mastered, so you ain’t gotta worry about it.” Cid took this time to steer the Highwind towards Mideel. “Sadly, I gotta let ya’ off by the forest.”
“Be careful out there, girl.”
With the Materia Cid had given to her, along with her own, Tifa made her way out of the cock pit, and towards the loading deck. She flexed her fingers a bit, before stepping off the Highwind.
‘Cloud. I hope you’re aright out there,’
Ever since Cloud had been separated from the group, Tifa found herself in the position of leading them to find the blonde, so the end of their goal could be complete. Well, you can’t always get what you want, right? Initially, everything started off smooth, but seeing what calamity everything has wrought before their group, it was something no one would expect: Sephiroth’s return to the living. How could that even be possible? He was declared dead, right?
‘His sword plunged in the back of the former president of ShinRa.’ And where the Masamune went, Sephiroth wasn’t too far off....
Shaking her head from those thoughts, Tifa trekked into the brush of the forest of Mideel.
Her feet carried her through the forest of Mideel, but she knew nothing about her destination. All she knew is that she needed to find Cloud. He could be hurt, or hell, even killed at this point. The protectors of the planet roamed Gaia at a means of protecting from a threat that could wipe the existence of them all.
What the hell is wrong with me? Why am I thinking so negative?
She could have sworn civilization was closing in, but the further she wondered, Tifa was met with more trees.
