If you mix equal parts 2% and skim milk, does it equal 1%?

YES. That’s how we approximate it at our house, anyway, if we’re out of 1%. It’s not my first choice since you have to stir it really well, and it tastes a little strange if the milk is of two different brands, but it’s a good enough substitute for meeee.

Omg it meant why do you like grass Pokemon best

1. They’re cute as fuck (case in point: Oddish and WhimSICOTT?? WHIMSICOTT)

2. They’re physically weak so most of their damage is done through status effects and slow-but-steady HP drain attacks, so they’re ideal for weakening/catching other pokemon or for filling a gap when you need to revive your usual powerhouses

3. If I had an actual pokemon team, I would want it to be mostly grass pokemon, so that I could be a challenging opponent to younger trainers, but they’d still be able to beat me with strategy if they thought through their approach

4. They’re all flower-based or plant-based and my god it’s a living flower garden following you everywhere, it’s perfect

5. All of Erika’s pokemon trainer cards have to do with doing nice things for whoever you are playing against (ex. getting more basic pokemon on their bench, etc.)

6. If you level them up enough and pay attention to strengths/weaknesses with types, they can cut the hell out of your opponents’ pokemon. You just have to use them carefully, since they are weak against like everybody

7. SUPPORT-TYPE ATTACKS that help recover HP either for the active pokemon or for the grass pokemon, I’m in love

Why Larry?

This is going to sound pretty ridiculous (and after all, this is Larry we’re talking about) but Larry might be the fictional character that I relate to the easiest. He’s (VERY) emotional, likes to joke around, is absolutely unreliable, generally terrible when it comes to being a responsible adult and seems to be obsessed with girls (I am not one to limit myself to girls only however, but you get the idea)

Or maybe it’s just that Larry doesn’t really seem to have much hidden depth to him. He might have some, but the games don’t dwell on that much, and paradoxically that makes it easier for me to identify with him?? Crazy antics aside, what seems to be another defining trait of his is his tendency to try and “start over”; he regularly changes careers, goes as far as to changing his name in T&T etc. He seems to be cycling between accepting his status as a total loser and wanting to become a new, more respectable person. I’ve been on that same vicious circle since I was like 12, so I feel him. 

But if you try and scratch that surface, my guess is that you won’t find much beneath it, and that’s okay. Never change, Butz. You probably should, but don’t.

DC or Marvel and why?

I’m going to sayyy BOTH FIGHT ME.

It’s a hard question to answer bc there are so many variables on each side. Every line of comics has a different writer/artist combo, and every film/TV adaptation also has a different team, so it’s hard to like the whole umbrella of one side’s work while not liking any of the other.

As far as TV shows go, I’m much inclined to be on the DC side. Young Justice was a fabulous cartoon, the Batman and Justice League cartoons have been reliably entertaining, and I’ve heard/seen good things about the live-action shows like The Flash, Arrow, and Gotham.

With movies, as much as I like the Batman movies, I think the Marvel films are much more true to the comic book roots: they’re bright and flashy and fun (mostly) and they don’t take themselves too seriously. Age of Ultron was a mixed bag, but I would still rather watch that than the new Superman vs. Batman movie, I can tell you that already. 

With comic books, IIIII don’t knoooooow ahhhh. I don’t read any of them enough, honestly, to have an informed opinion. As much as I like Fraction’s Hawkeye (Marvel), I haven’t read all of that line, either. I really only know Batman comics and even then, those are hit or miss, lol.

I would claim that DC is darker and grittier than Marvel in general, and in some cases (with movies) that’s probably true, especially since hyper-realism is in vogue thanks to the Christopher Nolan films, but Marvel has its share of hard-hitting stories and dark themes, they just couch them better in snark and comic relief.

At the moment, I’m more inclined to like DC characters, since I’ve grown up with those and they’ve kept me more engaged than the Marvel heroes have, but at the end of the day, I think it’s most useful to find superheroes you like and not worry about which side of the industry they come from.

Tell me more about your jewelry, how did you get into it?

I’ve been extremely depressed for the past few months, so instead of going outside and making meaningful connections with people in the community, I decided to take up a hobby that was repetitive and required little to no social interaction. 

I took a jewelry making class a few years ago and remembered how neat it was, so I decided to take it up again. After watching 20+ youtube videos, I went to a craft store and bought a cheap set of pliers and some jump rings.

I’ll probably make more...eventually. I only know how to make two weaves. I’d like to figure out how to go beyond the basics.

What's the type?

INTP, there’s some difference in opinion bc i dont think dc has an official myers briggs list for the robins (or at least not for tim), but by and large the most common one ive seen attributed to him is INTP.
