He shrewdly uses Ginny's freedom as an effective bargaining chip and shows Hermione altered memories of the atrocities her best friend suffers at the hands of Blaise.
Desperate to save her beloved friend, Hermione quickly accepts Draco's terms and agrees to an unbreakable vow.
Little does she know, Ginny is treated with the utmost respect and Blaise is kind and helpful towards her. Even though the spirited redhead is a force to be reckoned with.
