Anyways, Evil!Lloyd yap because I didn't talk about him last post.

LEGEND: e! = Evil/Enemy; AD! = Arc Dragon of

e!Lloyd isn't the manifestation of the opposition of Lloyd but his own fears; and it's pretty obvious in the show but I've seen other people misinterpret it, so I'm just gonna talk about him here. e!Lloyd is the manifestation of Lloyd's own thoughts, the darker thoughts that lie in the depths of his mind. Lloyd isn't very vocal of his hatred for himself—because he knows he'll worry the other Ninjas and that as the "Legendary Green Ninja," he's supposed to be an image of hope—subsequently leading to his defeat against e!Lloyd.

The AD!Life warned Lloyd that due to his roots being spread out/his duty or responsibilities already being 'decided' will make his trial more difficult to accomplish. But I'd like to say that the 'roots' metaphor could also mean or pertain to Lloyd's rooting hatred for himself; since the AD!Life mentioned that the protectors of the Whispering Woods were younger in age because they needed to be more naive and optimistic, it leads me to believe that their naivety is the reason why they could finish their trials but come out more mature (in the sense that they had to accept that they might not be a good person or the martyr as they were said to be since the Green Ninja is considered a patron.)

Previous Green Ninja finished their trial because of optimism; unlike Lloyd who sees the worse in things—even though he claims that there is always light in darkness, he doesn't actually believe in it as much as he tries to embody it. He failed in attempt to deny and contradict e!Lloyd because he doesn't actually believe what he says, Lloyd believes that he should've done better and that everything is somehow his own fault. We can see this when e!Lloyd makes a statement that Lloyd should stop blaming others instead of himself, and later Lloyd agrees that it was his own faults that caused him and his loves ones to suffer; even though in former seasons, Lloyd is portrayed as selfless and self-blaming. I'm not saying that Lloyd in indeed selfless, but he's definitely not selfish in the slightest.

And Lloyd losing to e!Lloyd shows that he cannot overcome hatred for himself. But there was a possibility that if Lloyd hadn't drank Tomorrow's Tea, and was allowed to carry on his duties as the Protector of the Whispering Woods, he could've prevented the rooting of his self-hatred.

e!Lloyd isn't entirely an entity himself, but a manifestation of Lloyd's hatred for himself. Though we can interpret him an new character; his hatred for Lloyd could also be against his positive nature. Optimism is in opposition to e!Lloyd's entire being, he's rooted in the fact that there is always negativity; he is a pessimist. This could also be Lloyd in an alternative universe if he chose to embrace his Oni side in Crystalized, choosing to follow his father's beliefs. I personally can't see this being canon but it's a lovely idea and I'm claiming it ! lololol
