wait what did i miss abt the flower power joke
Flower Power originated from @alexander-the-amazing asking a question at a RWBY panel at RTX 2014 (I can’t find the video with him asking that question though, and I watched the panel live on twitch.tv that year.)
He asked “if Ren’s weapons are ‘StormFlower’ does that mean he uses flower power?” or something to that effect. Monty then proceeded to joke about Ren being a hippie stoner, which was HILARIOUS
But then it was used as a canonized joke in RWBY Volume 3 Episode 2 as a shameful attempt at Jaune trying to use team formations in a similar manner to team RWBY (”Flower Power” sort of equates to the usage of “Ice Flower” in this case- it’s not their actual ship name, and is purely a collaborative name)
It was funny at first, but then the gag of JNPR arguing about their team formations dragged out too long and wasn’t pleasant. :/
