Today's ice level comes from a game that's quite unusual for the Star Fox franchise. Fox McCloud will need to learn a whole new skillset if he wants to make it through the icy wastes and save the SnowHorn mammoths.

Today I woke up feeling really ill and nauseated and my husband went to make me some toast because it’s my go-to feeling sick food.  And when I ate it, I felt immediately better and then I realized I’m basically that SnowHorn in DarkIce Mines.

So, I was thinking about magic and dinosaurs after that last theory post, and that reminded me of the scene at DarkIce Mines, where Tricky learned his fire breath command.  The Snowhorn in that scene seemed awfully familiar with it, considering he’s not even named and presumably just some random Snowhorn tribe member.  I’m curious, does that mean that the Snowhorn can also breathe fire?

To be honest, at first, I sort of thought the fire breathing was reserved for Tricky and other royal tribe members... But then I thought of that mini-game with the Cloudrunner saving Fox from the Lightfoot warriors... and that basically confirmed it.

Fire-breathing mammoths are canon in the SF universe, and that’s a phrase that gives me large amounts of joy.
