It's always rewarding to get to learn and find out what strikes me most about Saurian species and tribes, including its own "cave lions", who do peacefully coexist with those "mammoths", often known as the Snowhorns. I looked the big cat tribes up because they're distant relatives of Panthera leo. It was International Lion Day.

Today I woke up feeling really ill and nauseated and my husband went to make me some toast because it’s my go-to feeling sick food.  And when I ate it, I felt immediately better and then I realized I’m basically that SnowHorn in DarkIce Mines.

So, I was thinking about magic and dinosaurs after that last theory post, and that reminded me of the scene at DarkIce Mines, where Tricky learned his fire breath command.  The Snowhorn in that scene seemed awfully familiar with it, considering he’s not even named and presumably just some random Snowhorn tribe member.  I’m curious, does that mean that the Snowhorn can also breathe fire?

To be honest, at first, I sort of thought the fire breathing was reserved for Tricky and other royal tribe members... But then I thought of that mini-game with the Cloudrunner saving Fox from the Lightfoot warriors... and that basically confirmed it.

Fire-breathing mammoths are canon in the SF universe, and that’s a phrase that gives me large amounts of joy.

Kicking this blog off to a quiet note, here's a really pretty piece from the brilliant David Wise. While the game was rather...lackluster and the plot absolutely laughable, the music was beautiful and oozing with atmosphere. The tinkling bells and the swelling strings offset the tubby melody in the bass quite nicely.
