There might be some slight undertone of resentment there as the wound is fresh of him saying he would rather be stuck with said monarch over him.

"Do you really loathe me that much?~ We could be so good together." In the time that they've been bound together by that tether placed onto them by the gods as punishment he is quickly figuring out how he can push certain buttons.

"Do you want that? I'm the much better option." He's just going to tell himself that as his ego won't allow him to think otherwise.

As he's asking this he's going to outstretch his arm so that he can dig his nails into both the material of Bakura's shirt and also his chest so that he can pull him in closer.
