There were some things about Terra that Riku didn’t mind . In fact , there were MANY things about Terra that Prince of Darkness never minded in the [ [ s l i g h t e s t ] ] . Yet , there was one thing that Riku minded that had always eaten away at him no matter how hard he tried to swallow it down . . .
. . .And that , was the way that Terra never took care of himself . He [ [ a l w a y s ] ] took care of him . He always showed him kindness no matter what , always made him food and welcomed him home with open arms . He comforted the storm that CONSTANTLY brewed inside his head , and silenced the voices that tried to swallow him whole . . .
But whenever asked if he was well , Terra nearly always said that he was ‘fine’ .
A silly little word , that was only four letters but that held FAR too much weight . Meanwhile , if Riku said the same thing . . . It was met with a sigh , a shift in weight from one hip to the other while a hand set upon it . His mix-matched eyes would fall into his own aquamarine ones , and an eyebrow would raise on his forehead . He’d [ [ a c c e p t ] ] the answer , but Riku knew well that Terra would sit beyond his door until he opened it and let him in to tell him exactly what was eating him alive .
Enough was enough . Riku had reached the end of his rope with the double standards . As the word ‘fine’ left Terra’s rose-hued lips once more , Riku folded his arms across his chest .
“ . . . No . ” He started , narrowing his eyes beneath his dark eyelashes . “ . . .No , you’re not . I’m not going to let you look me in the eye and fucking lie to me anymore . I’m not going to let you continue to [ [ d e s t r o y ] ] yourself for others when you wouldn’t let me do the same . ”
Before Terra had a second to protest , Riku locked the door to Terra’s room thus trapping them both inside . He then leaned against the door , then pointed a finger-less gloved hand to Terra’s bed . “ . . .We’re not going anywhere until you do the following things : Tell me what’s [ [ a c t u a l l y ] ] wrong , let me help you with what is wrong , promise to sleep at least eight hours with me , and eat at least two full meals with me . ” He could he Hikari pawing at the door , but all Riku did was close his eyes . “ -- You better sit down . We’re going to be here a while . ”
If Terra thought Riku would take no for an answer he had another thing coming . They were both stubborn as could be , and Riku was not about to give in any time soon .
