1) How many works in progress do you currently have in progress?

Uhhhh I haven't written anything substantial in some time but I have multiple works in progress - two main stories (based on the trooper and sith inquisitor class stories but with significant alterations), and a general fic!versed where all the classes have a representative plus some additional characters thrown in. Also various AUs which I'll totally get around to writing at some point. Definitely.

2) Do you/would you write fanfiction?

Yes to both.

3) Do you prefer paper books or ebooks?

I prefer reading paper books when I'm at home and ebooks when travelling (convenience, don't have to worry about packing anything but the e-reader, etc.). I have a fondness for having an actual book in my hands though.

4) When did you start writing?

I started reading the Short Fic thread a few years ago on the official swtor forums and slowly worked up the courage to inflict my storytelling on the rest of the world.

5) Do you have someone you trust that you share your work with?

I'll run certain story points past a few people - @brightephemera a notable example but others as well depending on the character and the perspective I'm looking for (i.e. @depizan for concerns I may have about plot logic, @pedanticsoothsayer for certain shipping questions and so on).

6) Where is your favorite place to write?

My only real writing spot now is at home - I'm too busy/unable to write in the office any more. At my previous job I could find time/space to do that and it actually worked out well  (versus dealing with distractions/being tired/etc. at home), so it kind of sucks.

7) Favorite childhood book?

Depends on the age I guess. I loved the Magic Schoolbus and Goosebumps but read all sorts of things, really (Harry Potter, history, whatever).

8) Writing for fun or writing for publication?

I'm pretty sure publishing my fanfic would be considered a crime against humanity so it's all for fun.

9) Pen and paper or computer?

Computer exclusively, though I do have some handwritten notes when I have occasional off-the-cuff inspiration for characters or stories. In general using a computer makes it a lot easier to keep things organized, though.

10) Have you ever taken any writing classes?

Nope, nothing beyond required English classes back in high school and college (well and writing for grad school I guess).

11) What inspires you to write?

When I like/love a particular character or relationship or story point...and then it kind of flows from there. I only really started with my the idea of writing my trooper for the most part (with short fics to supplement that story) but my ficverse gradually grew as I experimented with different story and relationship dynamics and fleshed my other characters out. Sometimes it's even something petty (i.e. wanting to give attention to the many neglected characters/stories within SWTOR) 

These days I have not really felt all that inspired, due to a variety of things, so I haven't really written much beyond an occasional short fic or whatever. I definitely do have times where I really want to write something but for whatever reason I end up lacking the motivation/energy/focus to get through it.

4, 5, and 6 for Harin So?

4:Would your OC want to involve themselves in humanitarian work ? Ifyes, then for what? If not, then why not?

Harin-So (Jedi Consular) actuallyconsiders the work that Jedi do to be humanitarian, because zie readszir job as being based on helping others and protecting the galaxy.And zie does get fulfillment from doing it, zie thinks zie’s doingthe right thing.

If its like other morevolunteer-y stuff… Harin-So can heal, but prefers helping in thefront lines, defending people physically, because zie is a warrior atheart. i’m not quite sure that counts as humanitarian though

5: How would your OC generally react to someone beingverbally abusive towards them for no apparent reason?

Harin-So is in my opinion unreasonably patient because ziewouldn’t yell at them :P Depending on whether zie needs this personor not, zie’d either walk away or recite the Jedi Code mentally andrefocus on the topic on the mission. If zie was prevented from leaving or theperson didn’t start being professional and talking about the mission,Harin-So would react more, mostly in terms of refusing to respond tothem unless they stop or, if they become someone zie reads as athreat because of hostile intention, preparing to react in response.

6: Does your OC have a realistic image of their ownintelligence?

Yes and no. Harin-So is one of my fairly strategic minded Ocs, andzie knows what zir strengths and weaknesses are wrt that.

However harin-so isn’t exactly sure what intelligence means whenpeople are talking about it (like book smart? Quick on your feet?) soalso zie would have a hard time rating it. This is partially becauseI have a hard time understanding what people mean when talking aboutit

3. Do they fit in with their faction or were they sort of born into it? she fits in pretty well. especially at first, she fits the whole “murder rage angry sith” profile, even though she does mellow out a bit.

10. What is their specialization class? Was there a reason they picked that discipline? she’s an assassin. she spent several years forced into competing in fighting rings, and the weapons she was most skilled in were blunt staves so the dual-bladed saberstaff was almost familiar. also, when she first arrived at korriban, her skill with the force was laughable, so using it as her primary combat technique was not an appealing option.

28. Have they done anything embarrassing? absolutely. what sticks out the most to her though is the first few months when she was on the council. rei doesn’t have any formal education, and i headcanon that the empire – and the sith especially – use education levels as a sort of gatekeeping technique. lots of fancy pretentious language and references and shit that rei just couldn’t keep up with and she spent a lot of the time feeling lost and overwhelmed and a bit useless. 

luckily she has talos, and vowrawn helped her out as well. she still hates overinflated language, though, and ravage can shove his pretentious literary references up his ass.

35. In KotFE what is their relationship with Valkorion? one part exasperation, bc oh my god another one?? and one part pure rage. rei forced all the sith spirits to stay at the end of her class storyline bc she wanted to still be able to harness their power, and spent the next year or so learning techniques to block them out when she didn’t want to deal with them.

the fact that val does not respect her mental boundaries and walls and that she can’t figure out how to shut him up really pisses her off. the whole ordeal with the spirits was a bit traumatic, and rei doesn’t really handle val well.

30. Do they like to boogie? Do they dance to that good old cantina band? 

Hell yes. If there’s a dancefloor, Aemilia can be found on it. If there’s not a dancefloor, she’ll make one.

34. Any major flaws?

She’s something of a hedonist, and is very easily distracted by earthly pleasures. Life, according to Aemillia, is meant to be lived, but sometimes she lives it just a little too much. It’s one of the (many) reasons she’s never been recommended for the position of Master, despite her accomplishments and strength in the Force; she’d also be a terrible influence, at least according to the Tythonian orthdoxy, and (in their view) flirts far too much with Falling for their comfort.

44. What was their choices for their “soul” forged weapon? Light, Dark, or Balance? Resilience, Transcendence, or Sacrifice? 

Light, Transcendence

58. Did they recruit Arcann or kill him?

I haven’t dragged Amy through Kotet yet, but she’s a ‘fight through hell to redeem the devil himself’ type, so recruit.

47. Did you remember Nico’s little umbrella?

Teela did because  Nico is an idol of hers.

Mina did because she’s very observant

Amurri, Vharmir, Ayrs and Malicineve did not remember and thought Nico was an idiot for caring.

Olympia and Amitia did not remember and felt bad about it.

Veresia did remember, but deliberately didn’t include it to annoy Nico.

53. Did they trust Empress Acina at first? What about later?

Amitia trusted her as far as self-interest would take her - so she never thought Acina was a true ally or anything, just a temporary partner who joined in when she thought she could gain from it - though Amitia hoped to be wrong about that.

Olympia was probably similar, only a bit more optimistic and thought it could lead to a real chance at peace afterward (oops)

Ayrs and Amurri would have started at a more distrustful point (especially because they would have seen the trip to DK as a sales pitch rather than an accurate representation of who Acina is or what her Empire was really about). Both would probably have liked to be surprised.

Mina’s probably similar. She had a bad experience with the Empire and as a Chiss she also has no real loyalty to it....

Veresia would have been even more suspicious but since she’s also someone who operates that way, she probably would have been more willing to work with Acina…..she just would have been planning on betraying Acina before the Empress could betray her!

Vharmir never trusted Acina. Had the game allowed for it, he basically would have taken Veresia’s path, only been more aggressive about setting Acina up to fail all along.

Malicineve…hmm. I would say she’d fall into the “didn’t trust/never trusted/never would trust” camp but that’s less about Acina and more about her mindset in general.

Oops - 60. Did they free Dramath from the holocron?

Olympia and Amitia did for LS reasons.

Ayrs did because he wouldn’t trust Dramath regardless. Teela would have felt the same way, although I just kinda went blindly LS with her on Nathema.

Malicineve obviously didn’t - didn’t trust Dramath, wouldn’t throw away a potential weapon, etc.

Veresia, Mina, Amurri, Vharmir didn’t because they thought he might be useful in their fight against Vaylin and/or Valkorion
