Okay, so, as it's Friday, you can choose to publish this or reply to it privately or whatever you wish, but either way: Somebody on my dash mentioned that otters hold their friends/mates hands when they're sleeping so they don't float away and I need you to imagine one of Percy's partners(Annabeth, Luke, Frank, Idc)waking up to find him anywhere from clinging to their hand to wrapping his arms and legs around them bc in his nightmares, hands drag him into the mud and away from them.

Hmmm, I feel an opportunity to incorporate bloodbending!Percy and I’m not going to give it up. Imagine Percys partner being woken up by a sharp, crippling pain in their leg, or their arm, they look down and see Percys hand clinging to them and assume that he’s just digging his fingernails in. But then they remember that his nails have been bitten down to nothing, and then the pain increases far beyond what anyones nails could do.

First they try waking him by shaking his shoulders and gently calling for him to wake up, but eventually the pain increases to such a level that they have no choice but to scream, beg and plead for him to wake up, trying to prise his fingers from their limbs. Percy hears the screams in his dreams, only increasing his distress, and furthering the pain of his lover.

By the time he finally wakes up his partners arm is discoloured from blood lost, and blood gained. Healing wounds have burst open, and their skin is covered in bruise like patterns. Percy eventually manges to convince them to go and see a healer, who confirms that they’re okay, if a little worse for wear.

That’s not going to stop the guilt that Percy feel though.

Which brings up another question, can Percy bloodbend himself?
