I have to ask because I have been thinking about it a while. Can Barty actually be Romana's Doctor. Like the actual one. The one she travelled with not just some version of him that she stumbles across?

His eyes moved to meet hers and he smiled. “I think that may not be a problem.” He winked and kissed her, crosschecking her vitals and body functions displayed on the machine. “Because I’m the LOVE Doctor, and I have a spot for one patient.” He burst out laughing. “Sorry, that was lame.”

Romana looked at him and laughed. She groaned at the pain it caused her and sighed. “Really? Not a problem. That’s good.” She shook her head. Love Doctor that was one of the worst lines she had heard. “Who is this patient? Do I have to beat them up? Cause I will you know. Your mine and that’s that.”
