Dori would be found lounging in the common room, almost glaring at eir laptop screen. "Oh, hi! Didn't hear ya there, Bren. Um, ya got a minute? I need help with a dilemma." Dori started with a puppy dog stare that Bren would recognise well. ((Dori, @theeldritchmortician))
Brendan had just walked in with a box of freshly delivered seafood pizza--his choice today for lunch. It was his intention to sit and eat it while watching one of the many Halloween specials that were airing on TV that afternoon. However, when Dori expressed ey needed his help with a "dilemma", he didn't hesitate to put those plans on hold. He set the pizza box down in front of the couch, then moved to stand behind Dori so he could see eir computer screen.
"Shoppin' again?" he teased.

considering the fact that they now have some free space in the louvre, here is a suggestion on what they could replace the jewels with
(x)
"Hey, I made you a hat!"
Brendan was, as usual, seated behind the library's front desk and looking very un-busy when Rei approached him. Since it was the day before Halloween, there weren't as many patrons about, which thankfully gave the Scottish librarian some more time to think about his costume. Brendan proudly considered himself to be the "King of Halloween", but he was just infuriatingly undecided on what he wanted to wear for his favourite holiday this year. Normally he liked to dress up as characters from his favourite movies, or whatever was super popular at the time, but now he just found himself.. bored of it all. So he was both surprised and more than a little grateful when his sister suddenly tossed a costume hat at him. Not just because he needed it, but because she'd personally knitted it for him; Brendan loved handmade gifts just as much as expensive ones.
"Is tha' a bee!?" he exclaimed with a delighted laugh as he pulled the black-and-yellow garment right onto his head. It wasn't something he'd have chosen as a costume for himself, so he loved it even more. It was different.

not enough people out there shipping silver haired David Tennant and Robert Carlyle
some royal jewels were stolen from the louvre which is unfortunate for historical reasons but you gotta appreciate a classic crime. so many crimes are online these days it’s nice to see heist culture is still alive
people writing historical romance seem to love having a guy with a bad leg who walks with a cane but I’d like to see this energy in contemporary romance as well. there are handsome guys among us today who use canes
he looks so good
Update from the Mun!
First, I'd like to apologize for my long absence and silence. There's been so much going on in my personal life that's been keeping me away, particularly in regards to my health, and I really just.. didn't want to post about it on here and having everyone worry, but I also feel like you all deserve to know what's been going on.
I can't remember the last time I posted about it, but last year I injured my foot while swimming and couple of innocent-looking little cuts soon spiraled into my personal hell on earth. I got a severe infection that very nearly resulted in having my foot amputated. Thankfully that didn't happen, but I did have emergency surgery and my lost parts of my large toe on my right foot that has left me personally disfigured and with severe nerve damage.
While all of that was healing it was also discovered that I was an undiagnosed Diabetic, so that's been a whole thing that also turned my life upside down and been a huge adjustment. If trying to combat (and potentially cure) my Diabetes and heal my foot at the same time, I was put in several different types of shoes and medical boots, the last of which I had been fitted for were not properly inspected by my doctors, and less than a week after my initial foot wound/infection was finally healed, another wound was created.
That was back in September of last year.
It's now officially been a year, and I am still fighting to heal this new wound. It is extremely stubborn and keeps getting infected. Every time we get close to the wound closing, something happens and I end up ten steps back from where I was. In the next week or so, I am in all likelihood being put in a steel-plated booted cast for the forseeable future to hopefully get this finally taken care of.
And as if all that wasn't enough on my plate, during the first test run of having the cast on at home, I was involved in a nasty fall (courtesy of our new kitten) and hit my head on concrete. This has severely affected my already poor vision. I've only ever been able to see out of one eye my entire life (due to complications of my birth), and that eye unfortunately is now partially blind due to this accident, and while I can still see for the most part, it makes doing the things I love (my art, my writing, playing video games, reading) extremely difficult. In a month's time I'll know whether or not I have to get surgery.
Thank you to EVERYONE who's still following this blog and patiently awaiting my return. At this point I honestly don't know when I'll be back, and for that I am eternally sorry.
I love you all. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers while I deal with all this.
