I’m no therapist, but I think Tyrande is dealing with some guilt over Teldrassil...

It was actually interesting to get the full story in-game after months of reading about the events filtered through fandom discourse.  At least within this scenario, I thought the aftermath of Teldrassil’s destruction was handled with the proper gravitas.  The kaldorei’s vengance may not have been completely satisfying (so far) but nobody in-universe is downplaying how horrendous the loss was.

I’m so glad the rocky history between Maiev and Tyrande was acknowledged in the Darkshore warfront scenario!

After Tyrande turned up her nose at Maiev’s authority, slaughtered her Watchers, and freed Illidan, and after Maiev left Tyrande to die, surrounded by Scourge, it only makes sense that they aren’t BFFs.  They tolerate each other out of a greater love for their people, but they don’t like each other.
