Darksiders OC: Siva headcanon(The end of her Days)
(Siva older after the apocalypse)
Since I have the headcanon that while Siva's life after the apocalypse is extended, she would have wanted to die of old age. And so after many years of helping to rebuild humanity on new Earth, and visiting the Forgelands to learn and make the connections with human and maker, she passes away. Her last wishes are to be cremated and laid to rest on Earth, where her ashes will be used to grow a tree, in a place where it was untouched and hard to find by others. While her weapon Ironbark stayed in the Forgelands, since Ulthane helped her make it, and she didn't want it to fall in the wrong hands. And in rememberance, a small memorial statue of her was built where Ironbark laid to rest.
I would imagine that after her death, after spending a great deal of time at her grave, War would remove himself from the map for a long time. Whether it's wandering the wilderness, off killing some demons, or just find something to busy himself with. Hell, even confining himself to a cave and just have sometime to himself before he shows up again. He doesn't seem the type to open up about the pain he felt about it. He knew that she would not live as long as he would, that she much rather spent her short life with the people she loved then wasting it away to find immortality or something. He has lived for eons mind you, longer than humanity's existence, but I feel like her short existence brought some peace he has not known for a long time, that while he was a killer, a warrior, and some sort of war machine to many, besides his siblings, she was his friend.
Mind you, I didn't want to make it where her death would cause them to no longer function and continue living, cuz that's not how war works. Constantly surrounded by Death, (pun intended), he wouldn't really cry about it either, but he would feel a great deal of sorrow and anger about it. Sad because it is a human he had grown to respect, and dare say it, love, and her life left the world softly, but she did so smiling. He would feel anger because her life was so miniscule, yet lived to impact so many, only to die because her body ran out of time. Quiet fury because he would continue on, living for eons more, to remember the small part of his time he spent with her, he wished it could have been longer despite it being a small experience he would not forget
He would have a quiet vigil over her grave, not many words or stories, cuz she was always the type to say it as it was, and that what was said does not need repeating in life or death. The words they exchanged were absolute in life, not in her death. He would not spend the time over her grave reminiscing about the past and how good it was before. He would instead remember her by living on, putting into practice the lessons she taught and put into action, and remember that she lived life completely as if time was no issue.
(would love some feedback on this, but don't mind me, I'll be crying in my corner) 😭
