That once in a blue moon kind of love
Coraleye and Tycho saunter into the Buckshot Boutique in town along with Nova and Lewis to shop for another round of western gear to add to their wardrobe.
Coraleye: So... what do you think?
Tycho: [Draws finger guns] Well howdy there, little lady. Reckon it oughta be against the law to look as darn fine as you do. I can't just stand by while an outlaw like you keeps on takin' my breath away. Pew! Pew!
Coraleye: [Clutches chest] AGugh! Oh! Right in the heart! Tycho: [Reholsters finger guns] That'll teach 'er.
Coraleye: WOW! Wait though, look at you! I'm so into this look...
Tycho: [Laughter] Wait, really? I don't even think this is a cowboy outfit. Pretty sure it's probably meant for bikers or something.
Coraleye: Mmm... I don't care. You're getting it.
*That song you love is playing, the one with "blue" in the lyrics* If only I were brave.
I remember you closing the shutters and laying down by my side And the light that was still slippin' through was painting your body in stripes I remember the trees summoned down like an archangel choir And the ocean was all we could see and I knew that I wanted you When am I gonna lose you? ♬♪
Can you just stay here with me forever?
Mermay Finale: Lovers
Coraleye ignores Tycho's grim implication and climbs on to the railing between the cobblestone and the river below. Tycho clumsily follows her lead. She fixes her gaze on the moon above. Coraleye: Isn't it pretty? The moon?
Tycho only glanced at the moon for a split second. It's been there every day since he was born. This is his last night in Tartosa with Coraleye though, and he doesn't want to miss any of it.
Tycho: Yeah, it's pretty great.
Coraleye: So are there any crazy family rules you have to follow that I should know about? Tycho: My family? No, not really. They're just a bunch of weirdos. You'd fit in nicely. [Grins]
Coraleye: [Pretend appalled gasp] No, you're probably right. I like your family! But I feel like you don't talk about them very much, even though you know like, everything about my family. Why is that?
Tycho: Huh? Oh, I dunno… I… I don't know. [Shrugs]
Coraleye noticed Tycho's reluctance and gave him a curious expression. Tycho knew that saying too much about his upbringing would eventually lead to her finding out he's an alien. He knew she'd have to find out eventually, but right now, he feels like he's living in a dream and he isn't quite ready to wake up from it just yet. Still, he felt like her eyes were peering into his soul, so he had to give her something. Tycho: ...So I don't think I've ever told you this, but…the moon? Turns out it's actually mine. But since you like it so much, I could share it with you...
Coraleye: [Laughs] Oh! Is that so? The moon is yours?
Tycho: [Nods] Mhm.
Coraleye: How do you figure?
Tycho: My Dad used to tell me that when I was a kid. He'd always call me "Tycho Curious, keeper of the moon!" So therefore… I'm sharing my moon with you.
Coraleye: Now we're getting somewhere! That's the cutest thing I've ever heard, Curious... Tycho: Heh...
