He would touch you like you are made of glass.

He is so gentle, and a true gentleman.

Let me tell you, he knows everything about you, mostly the things you don't know about yourself.

We all know is observant, so he knows and reads your body language like It's the palm of his hand.

The way you move your leg when you are stressed, the expression you make when you see something you like in a store or even the fact that he knows how much you love him just by your gaze and how your shoulders fall down of relief every time you see him.

He does the same, mostly when he is in crowded or loud places.

This man has a thing for giving you flowers.

Almost every day he will come home and bring you random little sidewalk flowers with his sweet smile and say "It's for you love."

Please, just give him a kiss after that or he will stand there waiting for one like a puppy <3

If you ask him to teach you how to use a rifle, he would gladly teach you; "But safety first" he will say.

He loved to put himself behind you and position your hands in the right place with his hands over yours, while giving you tips.

"Don't think too much, control your breathing and remember, It's okay to not get it right at first. Takes practice sweetie."

If you were with him in Easy and you had a good shot, gosh he would admire you so much.

Shifty is so understanding.

If you were sad, tired or even on your period, he would be so caring. Even if you hide it, he will know.

"You wanna talk about it or be left alone honey? Or maybe a hug?"

Just imagine him saying this by the side of the bed, with those sweet eyes and that gentle soft voice.

Praise him or say how handsome he looks and he will blush instantly.

He is not much into pda BUT It's the little things that count, for example when you hold his arm when walking outside, or the way you smile at something you see, something he does or says. He catches everything.

His kisses are the most tender. He brushes your hair, places his hand on your waist while doing it. 

He has the softest hands.

About his family and how hard it was to explain what happened and how guilty he felt for what he did in the war, was something you helped him with.

Shifty knew that he was doing his job like everyone else, but he didn't know if his family would see it in the same way.

But in the end it turned out fine, his family understood how a great soldier he was, and how much he deserved that recognition and inner peace by their and your acceptance.

Ride him with really smooth movements and he will say "Yes ma'am/sir" and get on his knees. (Not literally… okay, maybe if you ask him to.) 

He interlocks his fingers with yours during missionary.

He just loves face to face positions, mostly the one where you are on his lap and holding his shoulders, basically hugging.

He absolutely lives for foreplay, he could spend hours seeing you shiver under his touch. 

If he comes home with you wearing lingerie, prepare yourself  to see his jaw drop and get all nervous and red. Also, give him a minute to admire you before he starts feeling you. 

Let me tell you, this sweet man is the best at aftercare.

He likes to pull you to his chest, play with your hair, run his fingers through your skin, and you should always expect soft spoken check-ins. 

And if both of you don't fall asleep, you will take a bath together and relax a little in the bathtub.

It's in this times of you just tenderly feeling each other's skin that he drops the sweetest I love you’s.

Description: Frogs are fickle.

Pairing: Darrel “Shifty” Powers/Reader

You wag your finger at Shifty. “Nuh-uh. There’s a certain technique to this. You’re good with a rifle, and you might know how to hunt but this is my specialty, Powers.” 

Shifty is sitting on the dry shore, his sleeves and pants rolled up like yours, the hems soaked through with pond water. There’s a bit of mud streaked across his face and his eyes are even warmer than the sun. He lets out a disbelieving laugh, and you continue to stalk through the marsh, barefooted. 

The mud sinks between your toes. Your pants slip and you quickly reach down to roll them back up. Your hands are wet and the breeze cools your sun-warm back. You take another step forward and grin when you spot a frog basking on a rock, unawares. 

You bend your knees, push both your sleeves up past your elbows, then leap on the frog, hands outstretched. Once you feel it squirming between your clasped fingers, you shoot up, mud and water wetting your entire front. “Ha ha! See that?” you ask as you turn to face Shifty, the frog held above your head. “Professional!” 

“Alright, alright.” Shifty says, sitting forward now that he’s invested. “So you gonna teach me or what?” 

Thirty minutes later Shifty is holding a frog in his hands, face twitching with discomfort. You’ve already exchanged your first frog for a larger, prettier one, and are petting it’s head as its feet squirm between your fingers.

Shifty’s frog tries to squirm out of his clasped hands, and he holds it away from his body, fighting a grimace off his face. You can tell he’s ignoring every instinct screaming at him to just drop the thing. “So…” he trails off. Then he looks up at you. “What now?” 

You stare at Shifty for a moment, then your eyes dart down to the frog in your hands. “Catch?” you ask. 

His face drops, but he can’t do much because you’re already throwing your frog at him.

Shifty Power's daughter said she and her father always played pranks on one another. She often would find fake fuzzy spiders in her bed and shower.

“Daddy had a very unique personality,” Johnson said. “He was always interested in everything. He loved reading and fishing and hunting.”

“He spoiled us,” Wayne said.

Even if they made a mistake, Johnson said, he was easy going.
